Very pleased I ordered 2. Both are being used on hardwood floors; one for a wool rug (~ 1/2") in an open space & the other for a wool rug (~ 3/4") under my bed. While the pad is only about 1/4" thick, I am very pleased with the cushion it provides and I have had absolutely no problem with rug or pad slippage. The true test was when I vacuumed; both rugs remained completely flat with no movement or pull. The retail acquired rug pads I had previously been using were purchased supposedly true to the size of my prior rugs but were short by several inches in length. This product was actually a little larger than the rug in length; I had no trouble trimming it after purchasing a pair of utility scissors made for this purpose (can't do it with a pair of regular scissors). I found the best result in how my carpet lays to trim it to just under the length (by about 1/4").

Perfect for Carpets on Hardwood floors Boy have I needed this. I tried the ones that are rubber with the little squares and it never worked but this give a cushion and keeps the carpet right where I want it.

Dual surface rug pad works perfectly This is an excellent rug pad that fits perfectly under my 8' square rug. It can be used on hardwoods or on top of carpet. I am using it on hardwoods. The rubber side goes down and means that it does not slip and slide across the floor. It seems to be staying in place very well. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent quality, right size The pad is thick and provides support for my Oriental 8 X 8 square rug. The rug is on travertine flooring and apt to slip without this pad. Great find.

It provides cushion but doesn't "grip" the floor What can I say in addition to the review title. I wouldn't recommend this rug pad unless you will have furniture on the rug, as the pad does not stay firm on a hardwood floor, and migrates toward the foot traffic. Disappointimng.

does what its supposed to do after buying this and putting it under a rug in our kitchen nook, i never thought about it again, which i guess means the product has executed its purpose. i think i had to trim it a little to make sure it fit. the rug doesnt move. did not give it a 5th star bc i think there were less expensive rug pads.

Not impressed The "pad" was supposed to provide some cushion but does not ---it also does not hold carpet in place very well...carpet creeps up--should not have spent the extra money on this particular pad.

Sliding rugs? This rug pad solves the problem! We bought this rug pad to eliminate sliding in our living room rug. We knew it would be slightly larger than the rug so we had to cut it to size. It cut easily and once we put it under the rug the problem was solved. The rug is also more comfortable to walk on.

Soft but not as soft as the "supreme" one This pad added softness to the rug, and can be cut to size w/o too much difficulty. The "supreme" rug pad, which I bought for a different room/different size, also from . That said, this was the closer one to the rug size and cutting them isn't super easy, so I'm still glad I got this one. It's nice and cushy under the rug.

A good pad I did not have to trim this at all when I paired it with an 8' square rug. This pad is not as thick as I had hoped but it fits the bill and definitely better than one of those flimsy waffle weave pads. The rug stays put.
