I walked out on my deck and burned my feet and that was it I was on a quest to find an attrative, funtional and removable cover for the deck. The price on the sails were great and I received them in three days. I had do spend some time figuring the right way to install them but ended up sinking two 4X4X12 posts out in the yard. The other sides are attached to the house. I swapped out the nylon cords (included) for cables and upgraded all of the hardware to larger and stronger hooks, clamps and quick release clasp. The rigging has a clasp attached to the sale, the clasp then has a cable that runs through an eyehook and then down to another eye hook. Each point of attachemnt then has a second hok located higher so that when you need to take the sails down you can attached the slacked cable. This will keep the cables from getting pulled out of reach. This quick removal system was a must since we have huge windstorms in Arizona..
LOVE these Sails and they look artistic and cool..we will see how they hold up in the AZ sun. Oh, and I have not burned my feet since I installed them.
