I would have done better buy a bookcase from a local store and would have been far cheaper than this poorly made. Many parts arrived damaged but I only found out half way through assembly. After assembly, it looked like a cheap piece and I got so tired of looking at it so I discarded, i.e. put it in the trash and licked my wounds and bought another from a local store. Here is the worst part, I bought two of these pieces of junk. so well over $*** worth of trash.

The bookshelf looks nice, but was made poorly. The backing was pre-cut wrong so one corner is hanging over when we finished nailing it in. In several spots the veneer was peeling off and some of the predrilled holes peeled the veneer even more. The shelves took some work to get in place because the plastic slides and screws the hold the two front strips in place were in the way. I had to unscrew those slides on one side to get the shelves into place.

I needed bookshelves that offered a 3,4 & 5 shelf option, so these seemed great. They are not as good in quality as other pressboard products I have received before. I had to request back ups pieces for multiple parts damaged from shipping. Some of the shelf hardware didn't fit and they lean a little bit forward.
