Memory foam mattress replaced an ordinary mattress with springs. This mattress is very comfortable and the 10 inch thickness is enough for us. I have a good night sleep since we started using it. Big difference because my shoulder doesn't hurt anymore.

Very comfortable but did have an odor
I rated this good, rather than excellent, because there was an odor that I still smell several days later. I am very sensitive to odors so a regular person might smell nothing at all. I am waiting for a cover to encase the mattress, which should take care of the odor. I got the firm mattress and the 10 inch thickness is very comfortable. I am over 200 lbs and I don't sink down into it, and it springs back when I get up. It sits on a platform, no box spring, and has all the firm supportive comfort I was looking for. I haven't felt hot in LA December temps in the high 70's. I have flannel sheets on it, being too lazy to change them when the weather heated up. Hopefully, the typo in the description has been fixed. It is a true full size mattress, being 54 inches wide, not the 56 inches wide shown in earlier descriptions, and 10 inches thick. I like the 20 year limited warranty and it arrived in a stuff sack, which was a surprise, but I can use the stuff sack when I move it.

I read so many reviews and tried out several mattresses in stores before finally making a purchase online. There were no reviews for this product when I decided to go ahead. I had narrowed it down to 4 mattresses and chose this one because it was the least expensive. I definitely didn't want to spend a lot if it wasn't good... So happy it was exactly what I wanted! It arrived compressed in a big sleeping bag type of cover... I let it fluff up on my bed for a full 24 hours before sleeping on it. Initially there was some new Foam odor, but it dissipated within the first week. It was not strong enough after the second day to bother me. the comfort layer gives you a little bit of softness, with a nice firm support underneath. I would say that this is definitely a firm mattress. Exactly what I wanted. The cover is made in China, the mattress is made in the USA... I am interested to see if it has any problems in the next year or two, but so far so good! I would buy again.
