"What kind of box spring or slat should I use for this bed?"
This mattress arrived on time and was well packaged. After opening it and letting it air out for 48 hours, I have tried sleeping on it and it is a little too firm for my comfort. First contact is like hitting a concrete driveway (which I made the mistake of diving onto first thing and crushing my privates) but you slowly sink in a little after about 10 seconds. I suppose this helps hold you in place during the night and provides motion isolation to prevent disturbing partners sleeping on the same bed, but it is a little uncomfortable for me after switching from a softer mattress pad. Maybe I will get more used to it with time.

so far so good so far so good. arrived on date expected, and we unpackaged it to allow it to open up for 24-48 hours. we have not slept on it, as it is for a guest room. but it seems to be nice and firm in the right places, and nice and soft in the other right places, the way it should be. i hope it doesn't sag after our 3rd or 4th guest! here's to crossing fingers.
