First, we love the couch. It is bigger than expected, the chase part is the size of a twin bed. The covers on the cushions and backs fit tightly, we haven't washed them yet. The base slipcover is loose and a little long so that the hem curls on the floor, but not too bad. The material is thick and looks to be quite durable. The seating is comfortable, not too soft. The couch is solid and well made, you can really tell the difference between this piece of furniture and cheaper couches. That said, we were less then pleased with the time it took to receive the furniture. It took more than 8 weeks. Once the couch was marked as 'Shipped', it was still another 2 weeks before delivery. The tracking number listed was invalid. After the 8 weeks had passed, I chatted online with Customer Service to find out where it was, I talked to a very nice customer service person who transferred me to the heavy item delivery service person. He said the couch had reached the delivery company two weeks ago and they should have called me by now. He listed a phone number of the shipping company and I called them while we were chatting online. The delivery company could not help me, the person in charge of deliveries was gone for the day. In the meantime the Customer Service person ended the chat. I wasn't sure what to do and a half hour later the delivery company called at 8:30 PM and said they would be there in the morning, which they were. Delivery itself was quite smooth and the guys did a good job of unpacking the couch and setting it up. All in all, we are happy now. But two and a half months without a couch was hard and communication was not optimal. I had read the past reviews and knew we were in for a wait, but this surpassed even that time frame. While the furniture is great, I would not buy from this company again as they are too slow, for whatever reason. South Cone makes great furniture, but be prepared for a long wait.
