    In fact I do use the round oriental in the kitchen. Do not deceive yourself, this is not a $*** high quality oriental...I do not even use an underpad with the rug in the kitchen. It does not slide around badly and I am quite happy. Frankly, the cleaning issue is more personal to mw. I take it to a professional for cleaning which I am happy to do because the price was quite reasonable for purchase. I hope not to need to do this cleaning often but I spilled something on it and bite the bullit to get it cleaned properly. The price had been so reasonable for purchase that I bought two carpets so it was no problem. The carpet is OK and does look quite nice. I hope that you like it. dick

    I have the rug in my kitchen under a table we use daily. I usually just use a wet cloth to wipe up spills, and vacuum a few times a week to pick up crumbs. Very easy to spot clean. The print doesn't really show spots. When it starts to show stains, I'll take it to a professional to wash...I believe that's what they do with polypropylene. It's not a high end rug, but great for a kitchen.
