The description says silver but looks like a rustic goldish hue. Great piece, unfortunately did not fit the standard queen frame I got. Though it says it fits standard queen frame. There was no way to secure it to frame, I had to zip-tie it to the fame. Nevertheless, it is a great looking piece that fit the other pieces I have.

So first, the metal color description is French silver, so anyone who complained about the color being off doesn't understand what that term means. It is definitely French silver which means it's a sort of brushed antique gold color with some green undertones. It is still a neutral color and mixes well with other metals. The frame was easy to put together and beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the screw holes in the bed post were too narrow to fit to my newly purchased standard bed frame. I had to go out and buy different nuts and bolts to connect it to the metal frame.

I love my new headboard!! It was packaged and delivered without any damage. I see no signs of silver, rather a metal with goldish, green patina. It looks wonderful with an antique French style armoire. Super easy to assemble. Sturdy and heavy!!

Nice looking but color is off in person the color is way more green

I looked around a LOT before settling on this headboard. Read the reviews and noted the color is not truly a silver. This is completely true, but the color works for me. Some described it as a green but I see it as more of a gold. At any rate, it is everything I hoped it would be and I love, love, love it!

I love the headboard, it is an art piece on it's own; however, I will agree with other reviewers, it is not silver or gold--there is NO metallic in this--up close it is really a green/yellow/brown that from far away looks like an aged brass color.

The finish is not silver. The metal is dark brown or gray, and it is very shoddily painted in a light greenish-gold color. I found maybe 2 or 3 small swatches of a silver paint over the green - and by small I mean like toothpick sized. Sloppy brush marks everywhere. This is going right back.

I thought this would look metallic but it doesn't. It looks more like a flat, weathered dark gray roughly painted onto wood...you can practically see the brush strokes. Otherwise, I do like the unique shape and the price is right even with the flaws.
