As described I use this under a jute rug,which is dusty. When this pad gets dirty it doesn't work too well. Just wash on gentle and hang to dry and it will work again.

Laura I prefer the felt pads over the grid pads because of the cushion and I think they will protect my floors better. The grid pads are much easier too trim however.
