    The best way to clean our rugs is with light but routine vacuuming. In the event of a small stain, spot treat with a mixture of water, white vinegar and mild detergent. Anything more serious than that, we recommend contacting a professional. Since it does have tone of brown, it will likely go very well with decor.

    Yes, it's very easy to clean. I alway use Oxi clean spray. Just spray and rub. That rug is very beautiful and soft. I got this rug for my sister and she loves it. Her floors are brown and her sofa is beige. The rug will make your sofa look beautiful and the scrolls, is beige not brown. CTobias of humble

    The color is definitely an ivory with true beige/taupe inset and while mine is still fairly new, my husband already set a pair of rusty pliers down leaving a small mark which I immediately spit cleaned and it came right out without any sign of the spot!

    I LOVE my rugs! They are very creamy/ivory and more of a taupe than brown. They are also SO incredibly soft on your feet. I have semi-dark hardwood floors and a taupe/brown couch and it looks great. I just accent with light throw pillow on the couch. I also have a dog that has had accidents and cats that have thrown up on the rug!!!! YUK! I use a product called Folex from Lowes and there are absolutely no spots. Love it!!!

    The darker part of the rug I would call light brown. It is small loops with a tiny white thread running through the loop. The light part of the rug is cut pile. I am so pleased with this rug and think anyone would be. I got a pad to put under it to make it even softer under foot. I use the vacuum on it, have to put the beater brush on a higher setting but it works fine. We use this rug in the bedroom. It's light colored so I don't know if it would be a good choice for a high traffic area or with people walking in from outside.

    We like these rugs, have one in the entry and another under the dining room table. They're ivory and light brown or taupe. High-low nap - taupe low (flat) and ivory high (short shag). Not super-plush but still nice under the feet. They don't show dirt nearly as much as our past flat nap area rugs have. They're on hardwood oak flooring adjacent to an ivory w-t-w living room carpet, providing a nice contrast. Swirl pattern is subtle. We've had them well over a year and haven't had them professionally cleaned yet, but probably will this fall. Just vacuuming so far and they still look great. Would recommend.

    It would match with your color scheme, it has just a pinch of light brown in it. I can't tell you about keeping it clean because it's in my living room and not walked on that often. I would not use it in a high traffic area because of the color.

    I have these in my hallway as runners. It states on the back for "liquid stains to use professional carpet cleaning products". I would imagine Resolve carpet cleaner could work on this. It does say to blot the liquid first. The cleaning instructions are listed on the back of the rug. Hope that helps

    Yes, actually, we have it under our coffee table and couch. We have had spills on it (Ice Tea) actually using a dry towel to pat, then using windex has worked great. No stains, no problem. We also have matching in foyer and hall, heavy traffic, still look great after a year.

    I used to work for a consultant in the carpeting industry. I purchased this rug specifically because of the fiber content - that is, that is was made from polypropylene. It is an amazingly resilient fiber that can withstand harsh cleaners, including bleach. You are safe to use soap and water.

    Heck NO! I just donated the new rug because the upright gets stuck in each swirl making it very difficult to vacuum. You're constantly picking up the vacuum cleaner to readjust the vacuum head as it bends downward into the thick swirls. It's a very plush rug with deep swirls. Comfy but I cannot vacuum it without a fight. Technically you 'could' vacuum with an upright, but trust me - you won't want to.

    At the time of my purchase this piece did come in 8x9 that does not mean it is now available, I have noticed they bring back more of the size they sell. I purchased three of the 7'6"x5'3" and was considering the larger but glad I chose the first. As for color be assured this is more like a beige but sort of dingy. It is plush soft under your bare feet and I found it wears well. I have had it going into my tenth month and no problems with pieces coming apart or the shag laying flat. I have these in my bedroom and it does get a lot of wear. I hope this helps you in some way.

    If Great Offer Stock does not plan to offer an 8x9, you can always go directly to Safavieh. I had to do that to get another rug to match ones that I already had. However, you can expect to pay quite a bit more. In my case, Great Offer Stock eventually had my rug but I had already bought the one I wanted for at least $** more. Try waiting it out if you can.

    I wished O let us upload photos. This rug has a high loft solid soft cream, perhaps even off white; but I personally would not call it ivory because it does not have the yellow/golden undertones of a traditional ivory color. As an interior decorator and event planner, It would still work with ivory. The low pile inset design is two-toned yarn the matching cream of the rug plus beige. This is only really seen upon close inspection; and from normal viewing appears to be a greige (grayish beige). The biggest difference in color descriptions will be lighting, under yellow lighting or standard soft white light bulb or warm LEDs, it will appear ivory. Under LED soft white or daylight, you will get a truer cream color. Hope this helps.

    I would say that in the picture the rug looks lighter than the ones I received. The scrolls on mine are definitely dark beige, and are recessed as a low looped pile. The lighter part is like a shag. We have overlaid them on a light beige carpet, and the light part is definitely lighter than the carpet. When I first started to unroll them I did think they were darker than I expected. But once they were laid down, I was very pleased...and in fact I think they are both gorgeous. The overall effect is that they are more white than beige. However, everyone's conception of "ivory" may be different. I absolutely love these rugs!

    I hope I can help with your color delimmia. This piece is on the dark beige side bordering on dingy beige. It is no way ivory or creamy. It is more dingy beige. How any one can label this ivory is incorrect, ivory is like a creamy white and near white. This piece wears well, plush feeling under your bare feet and I do not suggest it in a high traffic area, I have my three pieces in my bedroom where it does get a lot of wear and the pile stays firm and I now and then rake it to keep it plush. I hope this helps you in any way.

    This rug is more beige than ivory. There is definitely ivory running through, but not totally ivory. If you are looking for a off white rug this one is not for you. That being said, I love these rugs because they do not show dirt. It's not a dark rug but certainly not mostly an ivory color.

    Yes, it does and I believe it also has a runner. I love my purchase, I do not regret my purchase! Best one made online ever. I thought when it arrived I would be disappointed. I thought cream would be too light but I was surprised with delight when it arrived and I unwrapped it; it was more like a medium to dark cream color if that makes sense. Some have said in their remarks it resembles a dingy dirty rug but I believe it's just a very dark cream color, I was hoping for a not to bright cream. I was pleased and happy. Great quality and the feel under your feet is like walking on air or even like walking on a bed of cotton balls, so soft yet such a great quality of workmanship. Great for the price I paid.

    Thank you for your question, apelicano. To keep your Safavieh Ultimate Cream/Beige Shag Area Rug (5'3" x 7'6") looking beautiful, make sure you shake it out, to get the loose dirt out of it. Vacuum regularly and spot clean with warm soapy water and a clean cloth and rake it, so the long fibers don't get mashed. Rotate the rug so it won't wear unevenly. Then, if it needs deep cleaning, rent a carpet cleaner. Always, following the instructions that come with the rug. Have a great day.
