This rug really ties the room together.
The picture online is very representative of how it looks in real life. If anything, there is a tad more blue in the gray portion (but in a good way) and the contrast between the gray and tan is more muted, which I like, but could also be a function of the poor lighting in my living room. The rug is very soft to lie on, didn't have any strange chemical smell or the like, and arrived very quickly via Overstock's free shipping (shipping weight was 72.4 lbs...still can't believe it arrived in Dallas two days after being shipped from NJ...the FedEx Home delivery guy even insisted that he help me get it into the living room). I can't speak to the long-term quality of the product as I just received it, but there were two width-wide loose strings of non-matching cord that were easily pulled off. I'm assuming they were intentionally put there to be removed by the end customer... On a side note, and completely my fault, this rug is giant - 8.5'x12' is way too big for your normal apartment/condo living room. Lesson learned - measure first, buy second. Oh well, at least it's a really nice rug...and an outright fantastic rug for the $$.

Great Rug!
I had some hesitations buying a rug online but given the price and good reviews, I decided to take a chance. I'm really glad I did! We are using the rug in our living room. It's so plush and comfortable. I don't like wearing shoes around the house, so having something like this at my feet is awesome. Our dog also loves it and will go into the living room sometimes even when no one else is in there to lay on it. We have also not experienced any shagging. My only compliant is that the picture online is not the most accurate depiction of the color. The color in person is not as dark/strong. The grey is much lighter and the gold/darker tan portion is more a light tan. The color is def more subtle. I was totally okay with that though. The light tan goes well with our curtains. Overall, this rug is top notch in quality and then when you consider the price, it is that much better. I searched in stores for a rug and didn't see anything close to this size, quality, and price in stores. You won't regret buying it. This would not be good for a dining room by the way. It's too plush. First Great Offer Stock purchase! It won't be my last!

Plush, classy, and cozy!
This is an exceptional rug--I'm so glad that I ordered it! I bought it for my bedroom along with the Ultimate Grey shag rug with the indented swirl pattern also on . It is extremely plush and wonderful underfoot. I was worried that the pattern would be too strong and grandma-looking (I have a more modern/transitional decor-style rather than traditional), but in reality it was softer and very beautiful and interesting/classy. I think that was mentioned in another review too, which made me decide to try it. It was my first shag rug purchase and I was worried it would look like the carpet from the 1970's in my old house, but it doesn't at all. This is my favorite rug I have ordered from so far! Works as a neutral, while still adding a bit of pizzazz. If you think you might like it, get it! I have gotten tons of compliments on it so far! Super soft and plush to step on--great for the bedroom!

Overall a good rug. But needs more photos available before buying. The brown in the photo looks like tan but in real life, it is definitely brown and darker than pictured.

I love this rug! It was exactly what I was looking for & I couldn't believe the price. Great value for the quality. I have it under my bed in the master & it is very plush & really warms up the room. Very happy with this purchase & highly recommend.

We recommend shaking out the rug and if vacuuming is necessary, flip the rug upside-down and vacuum on that side. Vacuum thoroughly at least once a week with a canister vacuum. Do not engage beater bars. Rugs placed in high traffic areas of the home, office or rugs exposed to household pets should be vacuumed more frequently. In order to clean mild stains, we recommend using a solution of water, white vinegar and mild detergent to spot treat. For harder to remove stains, we recommend using a professional.
