Nice thick rug for the price! We ripped up old wall-to-wall carpeting in the downstairs of our home, installed hardwood flooring and purchased this rug for our guest bedroom. We wanted a warm and fluffy rug in one of the coldest rooms in our home. Not only does this rug make the room look bright and inviting, but it also has a nice thick pile. I was worried it would be thin, but the reviews were spot on. When we first unrolled it, it was a bit "lumpy" in some spots. However, it seems to be settling down the more we walk on it.

Exactly what I wanted This rug is so soft I can't stop walking on it!! I am so pleased. The color is not stark blinding white. It is a milky soft pretty white. It is not off-white. I chose this to put in my family room to give contrast to my dark hardwood floors. I love the softness and cozeness it gives to the room. It makes it a place you want to spend time in. Love this rug! This is my second of these rugs. It IS white - not off white or beige. The rug needs time out of the bag to fluff back up. But, it provides ample padding for sitting on without a rug pad.

The "pile" of the rug is significantly long & thick enough to affect movement of chairs being pulled out from under the table or pushed back under the table. I would assume there would be annoying resistance every time. This rug screams "come lay on me".... it is plush and comfortable to walk on or lay on. I think it is better suited to any area where it is not covered with too much furniture. I would opt for a lower tighter pile under my dining room table.

interesting, as after couple months our rug had greyish dirty area however it is in my teens room which is always a mess and we have a dog etc. I had rented a steam cleaner from safeway for another area and used it on this carpet on the bad part and it cleaned it fine. I don't buy the carpet shampoo I only use a tiny bit of an organic cleaner I use for everyday use in the steam cleaner. hope that helps

I also had this greyish area after about just 6 months of light use. We used a carpet cleaner that we have to get it up, similar to above...I actually pretreated it with oxyclean and it looks like its coming clean, however, it will need to be done again.

I have three dogs and have spot cleaned a number of times. For dark stains I've used peroxide and mrs meyers all purpose cleaner and they work great. For lighter stains just the mrs Meyers. Not a good rug for high traffic areas. Not so sure scotch guard will be effective with a shag.

Because someone spilled something on it before it was packaged....probably an underpaid factory worker who knew it would go out and not be traced back to his/her station. These rugs are nice inexpensive rugs. Yes, they are hard to clean because of the length of carpet strands....white is generally cream, but I did get one runner that was truly white, whereas the others were all cream. I have (over the years). Ordered 2 5x7s, and 5 runners....only one runner was "white". The others were all cream. I change these every couple of years because of the high traffic areas they are in...but they are so cheap, that does it really matter?

Absolutely....so it doesn't slip on the tile. Sometimes you have to use those "corners" which attach underneath, and keep the edges from EVER curling, and weight them down almost immediately after rolling them out. The pad can be super thin, as long as it holds in place. Very comfortable on bare feet with or without a pad. Pad is only for slipping.

It depends on the size of the stain. I have found that the knock off oxy clean powder for 1.00 mixed with hot water will get most spots out. I do not use carpet cleaner. Good luck.
