Love it! As another reviewer noted, this is not 8x10 - it's a bit smaller and does require you to trim your rug pad. That aside, I love this rug, as does everyone who has seen it (and to my misfortune, my dog). Be careful when attempting to vacuum it - mine came untwisted in one spot. It's hardly noticeable but worth warning others.

Nice rug, pretty much like the photo I marked it down 1 star as I bought another Safavieh shag rug (charcoal) which was thicker and a litter softer for same price. Otherwise, please with it. Could be a little thicker but I would not describe it as thin.

Guest bedroom rug Love this area rug. Thick enough that I did not need to use a pad. I was hesitant with the color but it is great and cleans easily even given the deep shag. Shortly after purchasing this one of our guests dropped a whole bottle of makeup foundation on it and after scrubbing for a while, it completely came out.

Well, that depends on how well trained your pets are :) I have pets & we've managed quite well. The rug is an easy clean for fresh stains - just don't let the stains set too long. For vacuuming, I use the floor setting - the carpet setting doesn't work well on the shag. For a white rug, it is quite durable & easy to clean - I highly recommend.

Like cleaning anything else. You will most likely use a vacuum cleaner attachment that remindS of a rake. IT is a very thick comfy rug for both humans and pets.

I have cats and a German Shephard. Can't control where anyone throws up, but couldn't resist buying this. I wanted something fashionable, ivory like you see in all the home magazines. No one has thrown up yet, and i don't know what to do if they do. Guess I'll just use regular carpet cleaner on the spot. I have it in my den--not a main thoroughfare -- i don't think the rug would last in that type of constant use. Also, my expensive sweeper won't move on it bec it's the rug is so dense. Impractical, but beautiful.

I have three dogs (2 large, 1 small) and this rug has been in our main family room for 2 years. It's definitely not quite as white as it used to be, but it has stood up extremely well to the daily playing and sleeping that occurs with the three dogs (they hang out in that room all day while we're gone.) We've had wine and beer spills, dog accidents, and small children. With all of that, it's now time for us to replace it. But for the price, I'm glad to give the room a refresh every few years and plan to replace it with the same rug.

It's very soft. My 9 month old has played on it since birth. But I recommend going with the next darker color. We've been careful to keep shoes & food off of ours but there is a pretty big difference between exposed vs unexposed sections of the rug- and we've had ours less than a year. But I love the rug & just bought a new beige one!

This rug is more of a vanilla color. I got it for my bedroom that has white curtains and bed pillows and it made the rug look very vanilla. Did not work in my bedroom but went beautiful in my living room. Its thick and soft, great buy.
