Thick enough and with a slip-free side. I love this pad underneath my wool hallway carpet. It provides the extra cushion and protection I wanted, plus it has a slip-free surface that prevents the carpet from slipping around when you step on it. I totally recommend this product.

Great rug pads. I had never used the felted rug pads before and they are so much better than the small foam ones that you get most places. They really stay in place well. There is some movement with small rugs, but it's really minimal and these add decent cushion under the carpet and protect the floor well.
