Everything about this fountain is first rate and it is very well made. The bowl is plastic, but it is very heavy and should last for years. The only thing I would change is to make it solar powered.

Update: At the end of the first summer (this was in the shade), the bowl was pock-marked. I have pictures, but the plastic paint just came off on small bubbles. Very disappointing! I would like a new bowl. In the meantime, I will have to sand it and repaint it. Original: We have this fountain on an outside patio under a little overhang. There are many things I like about this: the size, the ease of assembly (about 15 minutes), the real slate style, the trickling sound, the little rocks in the bowl (we added a few more.) However, the slate pieces do not fit together without a gap. As soon as my husband has the time, we are going to take it apart and file some of the pieces so they fit together better. So, although I like everything else about it, the gap between the slate sections (top and bottom) is so big that it's a visual distraction. If it weren't for that, I'd probably give it a 5-star review.

Excellent product, perfect size for my rock garden. Wish the waterfall was a little louder for outdoors.

Looks nice this season but I question how long it will last. Will be very difficult to change out the pump. Wish it had lighting.

Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Looks great in our courtyard. The fountain flows nicely, not noisy but relaxing. We had sand in a circle around where we placed it from a previous fountain. The sand gives this fountain a very Zen like appearance. A great value for the money.

What a gorgeous fountain! I LOVED it to look at but painfully sent it back to replace it. Assembly was easy, and we turned it on, it looked pretty. But within 10 minutes, our floor had a puddle at its base. We checked and sure enough, the reservoir where the water is held had a leak and we could not tell where it was from because it seemed to have water running down the wire itself. The pump squeaked like it was having trouble, so we had to send it back. Still, I requested a replacement - because its gorgeous and I have hopes this was just a fluke and then next one will be a favorite home ornament of ours.

It arrived on time. We got it up and running in our patio garden right away. It runs quietly without significant splashing. It's design is simple, but elegant. We love it.

I purchased this fountain (4/2014) for the outdoors which was okay according to manufacturer. I got it out of the garage to put it up again this year (2015) and the pump won't work and the paint on the ball is peeling off. I tried finding a replacement pump but the way this fountain is made just any fountain pump will not work. I would not purchase this unless using indoors.

Purchased this for my sister in Atlanta. She loves it and I am getting one for myself.

We really like this fountain. We actually use it as a bird bath. There really isn't much water sound and we do miss that. It was easy to install and it looks great, so all in all we are happy with it.

A very attractive fountain, and easily assembled. My only disappointment is that for a water feature, it is very quiet. I would have liked it to be a little more powerful.

This fountain is perfect and arrived in excellent condition. The water does not splash (we use it in our wellness center) and haven't has a problem with it!

Already recommended to friends and family - Love the look, no splash, good bubbly noises. I put it together fairly easily, only the water flow connection to ball was slightly difficult, I didn't feel it would "stay" connected, a snug zip-tie solved that issue - only other wish is that the bottom slate was more uniform to the top slate section, especially on the "front" side. Each section fits together one way only. Having the front top very solid gray and the bottom front very marbled with orange and beige. It's SO obvious it's 2 separate slate sections that don't match, so I put a plant in front of it, problem solved.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this fountain was when I received it. We absolutely love it and the sound of the water is beautiful. It's exactly what we were looking for. The color in the photo doesn't do this justice. so much nicer! The value is the best out there. Other retailers sell this for $** more.

The Pontus Indoor/ Outdoor Floor Fountain is absolutely beautiful. The fountain is made of high quality elements and materials. The stand is made of natural stone which adds to the beauty.. The fountain's soft water flowing our of the orb's top has a gentle soft sound. and the level of flow is adjustable. It also comes with an assortment of natural small stones for adding to the fountain base which were fun to move around. I felt like a kid again playing by a stream and finding natural little treasures. The Pontus Indoor/ Outdoor Floor Fountain is one of the best purchases I have ever made and amazingly enough my husband feels the same way too!

Just what I hoped for! I love the quality and weight of the natural slate base. The resin bowl and copper finish ball are light and simple. I'm using it in my bedroom and enjoying the soothing bubbly water sound. The splash that is to be expected seems to be staying within the area of the bowl - I have it next to a wood chest of drawers and see no splash on the chest. The pump cord is nice and long, and the pump is pretty quiet. It's not silent - I can hear it if I focus on it, but the water sound masks it nicely and I am satisfied. From opening the box to turning it on took only 30 minutes, it was easy! The positive reviews on this product, and the less-than-positive reviews on similar products, helped me decide on this one, and I am very pleased with it.

I purchased this fountain for an indoor fountain for my home. It adds a comforting and soothing ambience to my home. As I did not want to run it continuously I purchased an electronic remote at Target and can easily turn it on and off whenever I please with the click of the remote. This fountain is beautiful and I love the way it looks and sounds. I would highly recommend this fountain. It was also very easy to set up.
