Base of lamp crumbled in the box

I purchased two of these lamps. Both of them were received damaged. The base of one lamp was literally crumbled in the box. The top of the other lamp had been shattered. The lamp with the crumbled base was not well wrapped, but even so, it should not sustained that level of damage in a box of that size. IMO, the lamps are very cheaply made. I will just be returning, not requesting a replacement. I like the look, but the quality makes me say "no thanks."
