I purchased 2 of these for our guest room, unsure of what the dark color was, knowing I was going to paint the drawers and change the hardware.(I see the description has been updated to indicate that the drawers are, in fact, blue)
Overall I'm happy with the end product after my changes but some things of note-while there are screws that seem to be holding the pull on they would not have held anything on, the fact it was attached while the paint was wet is the only thing actually keeping the pull in place. I had to change the pulls I planned on using so I could "hide" the marks left in the paint. There are no bottoms other than the drawers themselves and the only thing keeping the drawers from pulling (falling) all the way out is a clever but flimsy piece of plastic. If you like the dark (blue) drawers, as is, be aware that the finish is inconsistent-where they are produced must be dusty because it showed up on the dark finish.
The actual body of this table is very nicely done. Nice finish (except for that pesky pull). I feel very torn as to a recommendation. IF I had not had to go on a search for special pulls to hide very shoddy work on the top drawer and the case itself had bottoms for the drawers I'd give this a 4 but add the price I paid + the trouble of finding workable hardware I want to give it a 2.
Yes, I know I was changing things but I'm really glad I caught the hardware issue. My bull-in-the-china-shop Father would have ruined this table if he broke, then tried to fix it.
I like it now.
