One of the coffee cups was chipped so they sent me a return label.

I NEEDED A SET OF CHINA WITH THE GOLD ON IT. THIS IS PERFECT! SO WAS THE PRICE! IT IS EXACTLY AS PRESENTED AND WAS DELIVERED EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED. THESE PEOPLE ARE GREAT!!!

I wanted some china, but I wasn't willing to invest several thousand dollars for a higher end set. These dishes look beautiful in my china cabinet, I haven't used them so I can't speak to how well they will hold up over time. The pros are that this set is beautiful, the plates have nice weight and there are several key dishes in this set I found to be missing in other sets. The cons, one of the cups already had a small scratch in the gold, this makes me think that overtime the gold will also come off of the other dishes; the salt and pepper shaker also had some of the porcelain come off at the bottom. I wasn't too concerned since its on the bottom, but I'm afraid this small chip will worsen over time. I think this is a great set for a couple just starting out. Its beautiful and is a really big set, but I don't know if this is something you can keep over the long haul.

the dishes vary in terms of the color, a few of them are bright white but most are a muddy grayish color. Not what I ordered.

I ordered this set because it matches my grandma's set. I loved this set. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that the tea cups are small and the set is kind of little lite weight, which I did not like much. But still beautiful and elegant. More importantly, it brings back a great childhood memory :) Thank you, overstock!!
