Great idea ... but.
I looked for a ceiling fan that would enhance a traditional LR/DR in my new condo. For the most part this works. However ... the finish is not really bronze, but a very, shiny metallic-brown ... similar to the mirrored finish on an automobile.
Also, it does not come with a remote as stated in the description. You will have to add one.
The fan blades are not wooden as described but stamped sheet metal with a wood-look painted finish. The crystals strands on the light kit have to be painstakingly attached. One end of a strand has a coiled metal ring similar to that of a key chain and needs to be guided through one of the small holes on the rim. The other end has a straight wire which once inserted in its corresponding hole is bent into place like a hook.
The crystals are linked together with a silver colored wire. The base of the light kit is chrome colored and is has a partial pull chain inserted. The rest of the chain length and the decorative amber-colored pull came packaged separately.
I am planning to apply a bronze patina to the metal on the body and the light kit as the existing finish will not work with my antique art and furnishings.
I like the fact that the chandelier bulbs are old fashioned incandescent and not halogen, etc.
I like the concept of the fan. I just wish it had been further developed.
