There is nothing 'bronze' about this fan - it is black, black, black. I actually didn't mind, preferring the black over bronze, but be aware if you have your heart set on a warm aged bronze. The fan blade itself is lightweight plastic, much like in a floor fan and it's not very quiet. Came with a nice remote that you can dim the lights with and have a 'safe exit' feature where the light will gradually fade to off over 30 seconds so you can get out of the room without tripping on things. The bulbs are very amber in the light they put off, so that's first on our list to change as it's in a bedroom. Also the box shows that this fan is only sufficient for rooms up to 10x10 = 100 ftsq, rather than the larger dimensions listed in the specs here. It moves a good amount of air, just like a floor fan, but really just straight down. I wouldn't think it'd be a great fan for rooms much larger. Still we wanted the room to look bigger and this does the trick by not overwhelming the ceiling with traditional fan blades. Installation was a breeze until the last step, which is to remove the screws in the hanging bracket to lift the collar in to place...which I found to be impossible because of the angles of the cross bars and the fan preventing alignment of the screwdriver passing through the keyhole in the collar to remove the screw, so had to remove the whole fan to get those screws out....be forewarned: loosen and remove the collar screws from the bracket BEFORE you hang the fan and same yourself some cursing and bulging blood vessels.
