I had my doubts about spending so much on a ceiling fan, when I could pick up one at the local hardware store for much less. But I was doing some upgraded LED lighting in the living room and this fan looked like it would add to the living room perfectly.
I was extremely happy I had purchased this fan after I installed it and saw for myself how great it looked and how quiet it actually was. I have never had a fan so quiet. The 6 speed motor is very nice and the LED light matches my new recessed LED lighting perfectly (2700k). It's the 1st fan I've ever owned where there is a fan reverse button on the remote. It has worked our great in the winter to spread the heat from the fireplace. The finish is excellent and I can see this fan lasting a very long time. I do wish there was an in-wall remote option. I contacted Casablanca about the in-wall remote and this fan motor is fairly new, so they haven't created an in-wall remote for it yet. When it's all said and done, this fan is well worth the money. You definitely get what you pay for.
