I bought this butcher block for my son and he loves it. the butcher block is of excellent quality.

DISAPPOINTED!! after 5 months the end has split open!

The perfect size and not too thick so it is not too heavy to move. The seams maintain most of the tightness except a few in the center overtime but this has not caused and warping problems.

Love this cutting board. It's large and has a beautiful design to the wood grain. Very heavy and sturdy. I highly recommend getting a bottle of food grade mineral oil and giving it at least 4 coats before initial use.

I use this board whenever I have more than a little chopping to do. Just oil it with mineral oil after washing it. It is rather heavy but so well made.

Heavy, solid, beautiful. Be sure to oil properly. We love it. Actually leave it visible in our kitchen and people dig it.

So far, this has been a great cutting board. Heavy enough to be sturdy, but still easy enough to move around. This thing drank an insane amount of mineral oil at the start. The first bottle of board conditioner I got was gone by the second day. I moved up to purchasing larger quantities of mineral oil. But now it seems to have slowed down. I put about a coat of oil on per week, and this week the board took ~30 minutes to absorb the oil. After oiling the board is a much deeper color. Looks very nice and fits in perfectly amidst all my expensive kitchen toys. UPDATE: After just 1 year or so of use, this is starting to split on either side near the hand holds. I never soaked the board in water, dried it off immediately when I did (infrequently) wash it off, and oiled it regularly. I'm pretty disappointed in it. A board this expensive should last years, easily. Next time I will go with a better known brand.

Not very pleased with the wood, if it is really wood? To heavy to send back.

I bought the more thicker version of this same block for my ex and he took it when he moved out. I bought this one right away and I must say, it's much easier to handle (still heavy though!) Just a little mineral oil now and then to clean and season it. Avoid harsh soaps. I use a little dawn and hot water then immediately dry it and rub a little mineral oil into the groves.

Very nice board. Almost totally flat, but heavy enough so it doesn't move around while cutting on it. I love the size -- it is large enough to cut and prepare difficult things without needing to move pieces off the board, out of the way.
