LUCID Comfort Collection 12-inch Gel and Aloe Vera Hybrid Memory Foam Mattress

I was worried about buying Another bed online. The last purchase of a miracle foam mattress wasn’t the best since I was constantly hot and couldn’t sleep well because of that. So I did a lot of research to find a new, cooler mattress. After a whole lot of comparisons and debate, I decided on the Lucid Bamboo and Aloe 12” hybrid mattress. It arrived in 2 days, and although the box was a bit beat up, the mattress inside was fine. I literally drug it up the stairs to the master and opened it up. It popped open immediately and 2 hours later I was sleeping on it and let me tell you, I LOVED it. I stayed comfortable, not hot at all. This is a firm mattress with a soft top so you don’t sink way down into it, but it’s still comfy. And no obnoxious smell like you get with straight foam mattresses. I woke up with no aches and pains, slept great, and for a 67 year old woman so far I’m pretty damn happy with my purchase.

I own two 11 year old twin xl sleep number beds. The adjustable base works fine on both, but the rest of the bed needs replacing. The foam pieces were permanently bowed/curved, the fabric ripped, and everything kept shifting from adjusting the bed. I had gone through 3 pumps, and the air chamber leaked on one, even after replacing the caps provided by the company. I got tired of dealing with pushing it all back into place every night and decided to go with the LUCID mattresses instead after calling the Sleep Number people and finding that it would have been a fortune to replace the parts I needed. The price on Great Offer Stock was great although right after I ordered these (same day, a few hours later) the price went down. That did not make me too happy. I compared all of the LUCID mattresses on Great Offer Stock with those on the LUCID site and the prices were better on Great Offer Stock. These are sold elsewhere too, but I have always had pretty good luck with Great Offer Stock, and I am a Club Great Offer Stock member, so I stayed loyal. I called LUCID to ask a few questions. What I found is the this mattress was a 4 out of 5 in the way of softness on their plush vs. firm scale. There is a 14" mattress that is not a hybrid that is a 5 out of 5 for softness. I did not buy that because of the height, and also because it was more money. It was a trade off, but I think I would have liked to have a mattress that was a wee bit softer. I am getting used to this one though, and it is a pleasure not to have to readjust it all, and almost slide off or fall off the bed each morning with the old mattresses. Also, I will never have to blow up the air chamber or find myself in a hole in the middle of the night, when the old mattress deflates which it did from time to time over the years. We paid a lot for that system and it was great at first, but it was bought because my husband had ongoing medical issues, I was his caretaker, and we both needed our sleep. We needed something reliable which they weren't after a few years. I have read reviews that say some bought the 16" LUCID mattress and used it on the adjustable bed and loved it. I was told by LUCID that they recommend no taller than 12 to 14 inches for an adjustable and also that the bed should be turned not over, but head to foot, every few months. It would be quite a chore to turn anything bigger than the 12 " mattresses I have. My husband was 6'4" and he might have liked a taller mattress, but these are for me now as sadly he passed. I read different statements on when you can sleep on the bed after unpacking it and LUCID said that you should not leave it in the plastic longer than 30 days. Well, I bought two, and tried one first. I let it breath and rise for two days. Then I slept on it for two nights to see how I liked it. I decided to keep it, and opened the second one. I slept on that one the very first night. I found no difference and also read that you can do that and they just advise to allow it ample time to rise and air out in between uses. The odor went away in about three days. If I had to do it over I would buy these again. I gave these a 4 out of 5 because they are a little firmer than I thought they would be, and they need to be turned from head to toe.

I have several foam mattresses since I have a vacation home with lots of extra beds. I decided to try this hybrid mattress since some of my older ones have lost their support and will need replacing. I'm so glad I did. This has a firm support and yet it is soft and conforms to your body beautifully. I feels more substantial then a regular foam. When you sit on the edge you don't sink il like you do with a regular foam. It's cool to sleep on and all round a fabulous mattress.

I ordered this for my son. I 2as hesitant as it is my first time buying a mattress online and my first purchase from Great Offer Stock. It arrived super quick, inflated to full size quickly, and is very comfortable. Quite impressed.

Mattress arrived quickly and was easy to open. It took a little longer than 48 hours to fully rise, but it was very comfortable and at a very affordable price.

I’ve had this bed for a little over a month and I will say it’s definitely a nice bed, super soft and very comfortable! My only complaint is the edges look like they never set in place-if that makes sense. If you sit on the edge you’ll definitely tip over so that’s the only annoying thing but other than that it’s a great quality bed!
