Happy camper Mattress arrived quickly and rolled into a large heavy duty canvas bag with padded handles. Will be good for storing and transporting gear. Mattress was compressed and took a couple of days to fully expand back to full size. There was a slight odor and wouldn't have wanted to sleep on it for the first two day any way. This is a very firm mattress used on a trundle bed that had limited space. Great value for the money.

This is a mattress for the upper portion of the bunk bed. It is not recommended to double stack the upper bunk bed mattress due to children possibly rolling over the safety railings. This mattress is specifically design for the bunk bed. So far so good. My boys seem to really like it.

If you are considering shipping it as it comes to your door (compressed, in a duffle bag ) then yes. Allowed to "plump up" once you have removed it from the duffle bag, it is the normal size of a normal twin mattress, of about 4" in thickness.

I purchased this for a daybed that I use as a couch that has no other support than the wooden slats that are spaced 6" apart on the frame.. The mattress comes rolled up in a large duffle bag type package, compressed (with all the air removed). Once you unpack it, it must be laid flat and allowed to plump up. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 6-7 for firmness. With a box spring or platform underneath, I imagine it would feel more firm, but using it as I do, there is not a great deal of support for a bad back at 5" deep.
