This unit replaced a 25 year old 8000 BTU window unit. The old unit drew over 20 amps and could barely keep my mom's house under 85 degrees in the summer. When I went to install this unit it was half the weight and a third smaller than the old unit. It came with all of the necessary part to do a good install. Install took about 30 minutes. In 45 minutes this unit cooled the whole 3 bedroom house from 92 degrees to 75 degrees. We moved the temp to 78 and it has kept the house very comfortable. The unit is quiet and cycles very quietly in the back ground.
