I love this sink. It is beautiful. Be aware that the sides of the sink are equally wide from front to back. In other words, this 36 inch sink is 36 inches across for the entire depth. This caused some problems for installation. A 36-inch KraftMaid sink base cabinet would require the 33 or 34 inch model of this sink (I had to return mine for the smaller size). The apron front is also SO deep that it only just barely cleared the cabinet doors below. CHECK YOUR MEASUREMENTS! As far as the sink goes, it is of very high quality! The stainless is heavy gauge and the interior corners are nicely rounded for easy cleaning. There is a very slight curve or bow to the apron front, but it is so slight that you really have to look closely to see it. It looks flat. I do wish that the pitch on the interior of the sink was a bit more. It takes some effort to wash down food particles, but I guess that is more because of the large size than just the pitch. We paired this sink with the Vigo Pulldown Stainless faucet (Item#: 12185406) and are just so pleased! They look great together and the finishes match perfectly.
I reviewed this earlier, but wanted to share info about installation. We used a 36 inch Ikea base cabinet for an apron sink, and had no issues other than cutting the area under the apron to fit. Also we thought we needed to add bracing or something more - it didn't seem supported. However, our countertop person said it is not necessary. Once the counter is installed, its not an issue.
I originally ordered a Ticor farmhouse sink. It arrived quickly but it had several manufacturer's defects. Great Offer Stock immediately sent me a return shipping label.I ordered the Kraus 36 inch farmhouse. It arrived quickly in a wooden crate not a cardboard box.It was in perfect condition. It replaced an existing 2 bowl sink, that was a drop in that had been under mounted. As a result I had to cut and polish the new hole in the existing granite top in the kitchen since removing that piece of granite was virtually impossible. That operation was loud and somewhat messy,as you can imagine. This is a beautiful sink and after the install it is a site to behold. My customer loved the sink and it has 6 times the volume as the previous 30 inch 2 bowl sink.It did not come with a template, and the drain is not garbage disposal capable. It came with a beautiful drain but of course it can not be used with a disposal. It would be nice to have the option of choosing a drain that could be used with a disposal. Other than that it is perfect.
I purchased the Kraus KHF200-36 stainless steel 1-bowl 36 inch kitchen sink. The quality is very good and the streamlined design fits perfectly with my contemporary kitchen remodel. I would recommend this sink.
We have used this sink for a few days and LOVE it! It's huge!!! We wash our 20 pound dog in it with no problem. It comes in a really nice crate, then wrapped in a bag. The metal grate (one of the accessories included) we've found is really nice b/c it keeps things from breaking if they fall. It has a little basket that catches all the extra food and is easy to pull out and clean. The grate doesn't quite fit in the dishwasher to get really clean if that matters to you but we figure a scrub in the sink will work. I really debated as to get a one or two basin sink. I thought it'd want the two basin so I could be soaking something and have another basin to wash things. The point my boyfriend made is that we can always have a plastic tub off to the side to soak things b/c it is so large. I also was unsure b/c I know some of the single basin sinks are really slanted to make the water drain. Not this one! It's almost flat so I can easily place things in it and not worry about them falling over (but also does a good job of draining). Things to think about if you are going to buy it: - What type of faucet are you using? We noticed if you use one of those fancy commercial ones or ones that are too tall it might splash water b/c the height between faucet and bottom of sink. It's a really deep sink. - We are short so to comfortably reach the bottom of the sink we decided to have the sink sit above the granite line (about an 1"). Most people want to have this as an under mount but we couldn't b/c we are vertically challenged (5'-4" and 5'-6"). When you place the grate in it raises the sink bottom about 1/2". - We have a one basin b/c we can't have a garbage disposal where we are and thought it'd be easier to only have to clean one basket. - Like all stainless steel it shows water marks. B/c the edges and front are so large it shows it more than most. If this bothers you you may want to think again. It doesn't bother me, I just wipe it and go. - I do recommend this product to a friend.
The Krauss Stainless Steel Farmhouse Sink is a hands down winner in the kitchen! There is much to like. The sink arrived within a week packed in a wooden crate in styrofoam and encased in a cloth duffle to protect the finish from being scratched. The base of the sink is faceted and the pitch allows water to run to the center drain efficiently. The drain cup is a deep basket with a metal handle that lifts out and cleans easily. The sink is roomy and deep - I have placed a small dish rack in the sink and it saves counter space and conceals the dishes as they are drying. The best part about the sink is that it is priced $200 less than the one I had initially started to purchase! It was definitely the right choice for me. I am very pleased with this purchase, which by the way, was my first from Great Offer Stock. Way cool!
Love the wide sink and thick gauge stainless steel! Rack protects bottom from scratches, too.
I'm happy with my purchase. I've always wanted a farmhouse sink, and this one fits the bill. The apron part of the sink is done in a rougher, less shiney finish than the inside to help protect it better from scratches. The inside is done with a finer, really shiney finish. Definitely use the grate they provide that sets inside the sink to protect from scratches. It will scratch pretty easily if you don't. Using dish soap and a soft cloth or sponge, and drying your sink with a towel after you've finished the dishes, will keep your sink from getting water spots and keep in nice and shiney. The sink fits nicely into a standard 38"wide sink cabinet. The apron in front comes down 9", so be sure to measure correctly so you can have enough room to freely open and close your sink cabinet doors. Very well built, and quiet as a mouse when I run the garbage disposal. We ended up doing a side mount with our kitchen counter tops. The description says you have the option of undermounting the sink. This was not possible for us because our kitchen cabinets weren't tall enough. When we get our new countertops in, I will take a pic so you can better understand what we did.
The sink is beautiful and durable. It was the cherry on top of my kitchen renovation. The specs included are for 3 different mounts since no kitchen is the same. My contractor had concerns with the sink sitting on Formica counter but it worked great! We used a oil based paint the paint the inside of the counter where the sink would sit. Just in case of water went through the seal. After the sink was set we sealed it with a clear, water resistant sealant. The sink has been installed for 3 months and I have not had a problem. The sink worked perfect on a 36in sink cabinet with no crazy cuts or support. The only thing removed was the top of the cabinet to make room for the apron front. We did the top mount, the sink pokes above the counter about an inch. Everyone that sees it loves it! I love using it!
The Kraus 36 inch farmhouse sink is huge. We really love it. The only problem is it scratches easily and the wire tray is kind of annoying. You have to take it pull it up every time you want to clean the bottom of the sink.
The quality on this sink is unmatched. My contractors (cabinet and countertop) both could not believe the quality of this item for the price you pay. It is easily a $ sink. The gauge of the steel makes it incredibly solid and it is not loud at all once installed. If your sink base cabinet is 36 inches I would encourage you to speak to your countertop installer to buy that size also and have it flush from side to side - it looks so nice. Buy this sink and it can double as a bathtub for numerous things and creatures :)
I Love this sink! We remodeled our B&B kitchen last year and replaced a cast iron sink with this single bowl one. I will never go back to a double bowl sink again and when I retire I will have a sink similar to this again. I have picked up a few scratches on the top front edge, but we do use the sink a lot more than most people would in their private homes. Easy to clean and I really like the grate that came with it that protects the bottom of the sink.
so glad I made the swap to a farmhouse stainless sink!
I would definitely purchase again and have recommended to others- the stainless farmhouse front looks great in my kitchen- great quality- and good pricing. deep sink - fits large platters
This sink is enormous! I think an adult could literally bathe in it. We just had it installed into our large kitchen island and it is fabulous. Beautiful, and such high quality. I've always wanted a large apron front farm sink, and this is the top of the line, biggest one I've ever seen. It looks like it could be in a commercial restaurant kitchen. I will never have a problem with a pot or pan that's too big to fit all the way down into this sink. Sink love!
Kraus sinks are my favorite. We installed a smaller one in our previous home kitchen remodel and loved it so much there was no question we would install it in our new home kitchen remodel. The stainless steel apron is a gorgeous look. Surface cleans well with any stainless steel cleaner and is not noisy when water runs on it.

I love the clean, modern lines of this sink, it looks amazing with my new countertops and the matching Kraus SST faucet (KPF-1690SS). The sink drains well, and came with two bottom racks to protect the beautiful SST finish - as well as two included drains - one standard and one deep with removable perforated drain basket. I kept the perforated drain (amazing at catching all food debris - and plant debris from repotting) and installed a Sinkerator garbage disposal on the other side. VERY easy to install and the SST finish looks amazing. LOVE IT and highly recommend. I have received many compliments!!!
Love our KHU103-33 Undermount 60/40 Double Bowl 16 gauge SS sink! Most of my pans fit the large side with no problem. The stainless steel racks come in handy for drip drying things that I do not put in the dishwasher. The bowls are easy to clean, but the one draw back is the flat shape of the bottom makes it hard for water to completely drain without being wiped with a cloth.
I spent several weeks in my efforts to find a sink for my remodel - researching different brands, reading reviews and I finally decided on the KRAUS 60/40 Double Bowl Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink - beautiful, easy to clean, I was so happy with my purchase - I also bought a KRAUS faucet to enhance the entire kitchen - I couldn't be happier with my purchases!
I purchased this sink last year but our major construction took 10 months so it's been only 2 months that I am using this sink. I really wish I had purchased something with better quality, since now I have to damage all the expensive countertop if I want to replace it. Below are the pros and cons: Pros: - It is much cheaper compare to other farm sinks in the market - It looks great (if not used) Cons: - My sink got stained from the cleaning product I was washing the pots with! Brown spots all over the sink. - The the front part gets scratched almost immediately after one use. Now I have to chaperone anyone in my kitchen so that they do not put anything on the front part of the sink. - Seems like the slope of the sink is not perfect, so while washing dishes all the food parts stays in the corners and it's a hassle to clean them and push them with water to the drain. - The material seems like lacking something like a seal or glaze. Everything sticks to it, it shows awful water spots on its interior walls and gets stained with cleaning material!! My sink no longer looks so pretty after only 2 months of careful use. It has lifetime warranty but I can't remove it without damaging the countertop stone.
