This lamp is not black but rather brown. It's fine, otherwise, but not black.ALso one of the settings causes LED bulbs to blink, would not recommend if planning on using LED like myself.

Had a small dent in the sliver part and the light keeps coming on without touching it. Still like the look and didn't send back because it's more for the look, not for the use.

This lamp is OK but a bit smaller than I thought. I ordered black but it isn't real black against my other furniture.

The material in the base look a little cheap to my eye, but overall a pair of these look nice in the room. The touch feature is perfect, unless you're worried about waking your partner up with bright light ... it turns on and off in one direction only: off -> low -> medium -> bright -> off
