The knives are great. Good handles. Sharp blades. They cut well, and are easy to care for.

The written description boasted these knives were made in Germany. Not true. Once I received them the box clearly states they were made in China. I searched thru the entire Great Offer Stock site to find a set not from China. Ordered these and experience the bait and switch. No help from customer service. They promised to call me after talking with their fulfillment center. That was two weeks ago!

Pieces from the set were missing, therefore in my case there are 3 blank slots. Yes, I was compensated with credit.

Having the right tool for the job means everything when serving others

This is my second set after having my first set for more than 5 years. I didn't care for them properly, but they still cut well. I wanted these to replace the others since I had learned that my care for them was not adequate. (I put them in the dishwasher) This new set is super sharp and just as beautiful as the first! I love them. The Chef knife is my favorite!

I worked for a major retailer, and sold many sets of Henckels knives. I am disappointed in the blades as they are not as sharp as they should be.

The steak knives rust when washed in the dishwasher.

This was the first set of knives I had bought for my apartment. Having grown up in the kitchen and subsequently worked in one later I wanted all the high quality knives I could get my hands on. But, these knives let me down pretty bad especially since I had such high regards for my mothers Henckel's knife set she got decades ago and are still going. First the good, these knives feel good, have a rubberized handle to prevent slippage and you get a bunch for not a ton of money (should of been a big indicator of what was to come). On the bad side, the knives dull easily and have to be sharpened before every use if expected to cleanly butterfly or halve a chicken breast. The blades WILL rust on you if left over night with a spec of water on the blade. And the worst part for me personally is that the knives sit up on their tang without much effort. This means that the knife is almost always sitting blade up. I have never had a knife do this and usually they will naturally fall to the side to prevent accidents from occurring. These knives will sit facing up even from a casual drop of it into the sink when its been used. This I liked the least. With that being said I got some amazing knives from another place and put these into the closet with the knife block, just in case I need a "spare".

I am recommending this only on the REPUTATION of J. A. Henkel's cutlery since I have not opened the box yet. I can say the ordering process with greatofferstock.com was very easy and the purchase was received exactly in the time promised.

Love these Henckel knives! Bought them for my brother and his new bride as a wedding gift, and my husband has not stopped commenting that he needs a set, too! Guess OStock wil be getting another order from me! Thanks for carrying these great products!

I had been looking for a block and knife set for quite sometime, i had gone to departments stores and discount stores and found the usual colors, this block matches my kitchen cabinets, very pleased with my purchase.
