It's an excellent product; very solid; and well worth the money. It is a bit of a pain to assemble (which iI think the web site should have mentioned) and I don't look forward to taking this down in the winter. But all things considered, an excellent buy. One suggestion, though. I would strongly suggest canopy wieghts, even thought this thing is quite heavy. You should consider offering canopy weights as an accessory.
This International caravan st. Kitts 10-foot square vented gazebo fit my deck so perfectly that I decided to purchase another one to put up on the other side. I intend to keep the frame up all year long and just store the canvas top during the winter.
Long story short. I got this gazebo to put over our 10x10 patio. We are eventually going to put a permanent one in a year or so, so this gazebo will serve as a temporary cover. But after having it up for a week, I must report that it is a super addition to our back yard & renovated exterior. I've been looking for a option for our patio for quite some time. But fabric gazebos were either too expensive or too cheap & flimsy. My neighbor got one that only lasted one year. Well, we do have harsh weather here (heat, hurricanes, high wind, etc.), so no surprising it didn't last. But after reading the comments about other people liking their gazebo & its quality, I bought this one. Now I also add: great product for the price. Though the fabric & poles are not high end, they are sturdy. The vent on the top allows for wind to flow out of the gazebo so it will not take flight. The gazebo fared very well in recent storms & wind we had, even without it being tied or screwed down. But I do recommend you tack it down at some point. I am very pleased about this because our old cover kept getting blown off its hooks in the same type of wind. But my fears have subsided seeing this gazebo do well in medium winds. I will definitely screw it down before hurricane season. As others have said, you will need two people to put it together. It just goes quicker & easier with two people. Also take your time. We made mistakes when we tried to take shortcuts. And while you can put the gazebo together with the tool they include, it goes faster when two people each have set of ratchets & such. But overall, it only took is about an hour & a half to put it together. And it looks beautiful. Yep, as others have said, wish there were a spare cover I could buy for when this cover gets dilapidated, which hopefully will be a long time from now. I luv this gazebo!!
This is my second purchase of this vented gazebo/canopy. The first one I had installed on the deck of a small beach house that I previously owned. The buyer loved it. So I included it with the sale of the house. The second one that I purchased is now installed at my new beach house right on the ocean front on the back deck. The wind can become so fierce at times even though we are only in October. The fabric top has withstood winds of up to 55 miles per hour! Unbelievable!! My husband bolted the metal frame to our deck and the wind just vents right through the fabric canopy. It is not 100% waterproof but does provide shade from the sun. I highly recommend this product. I wish it came in various sizes. I would love to purchase a 8 x 12 for my in-laws deck. But unfortunately this is the only size I have found made by this company. Additionally, I love the fact that the canaopy can be changed and comes in a variety of colors. It's wonderful!
It is not waterproof! I love it except for the money, the rain drips right through and gets all wet- table, cushions, etc. It would be perfect if waterproof - apparently that is not what they mean by weather resistant. It's an umbrella, isn't it?
I purchased the canopy in Khaki color and love it. It took 3 adults and a couple hours to assemble but worth it once finished. I placed canopy over my spa and fits perfect to offer protection from sun or rain. It has not rained yet so I don't know if rain may get in through the top vent. Definitely satisfied with purchase.
We have now had this canopy for about a year. The frame has held up great. I bolted it to our deck and it has weathered numerous storms without any issues. The fabric for the canopy top is another story. It tore right out of the box while installing it the first time. Right at one of the center pockets. Luckily my wife can sew and she mended the tear. This fabric is also not weather resistant whatsoever. From the first rain it allowed considerable amounts of water through. We've had cheap standard patio umbrellas that had more weather protection. A quick application of Kiwi Camp dry keeps the water beading up for about a month or so depending on the amount of rain. The canopy top has maybe seen 6-8 months of weather in the year we've owned it. (we take it down in the winter) It has faded from the red to a salmon/tan color. We have also had to repair 3 of the pockets that hold the canopy on. This would be a much better canopy if the top wasn't such junk!
I live in windy Las Vegas. We don't get a lot of rain here, being the desert, but we do get a lot of sun and when it does rain it pours, and add to that the crazy winds that scoop through the valley and it's a recipe for these canopy things to be eviscerated. That was our experience with 2 previous models that we had purchased at higher prices at a local Home harDware store. So we figured this lil guy wouldn't last long but it was a decent price so we got it. We did bolt it down to cement using masonry screws (the feet have holes for that purpose) and once we did that it has been able to withstand the winds. The pouring rain that does come through doesn't completely tear up the canopy top because it isn't 100% water tight so it doesn't pool up *too* bad and cause strain/stress on the fabric, so it has held up so far. It was missing parts when we got it (they were the parts to hold the elevated vent above the canopy on the main structure) but we just went to a hardware store and got something that looked similar to the picture in the instructions and it worked fine. Other reviews seem to indicate some pieces missing in other people's shipments as well, but luckily they were standard items that we could get at a hardware store. Oh yeah, there was also one hole that wasn't drilled all the way through (it was on one side but hadn't gone through to the other) but that wasn't hard to fix with our drill, though it did make it take a little longer to put together.
The quality is ok, square tubular steel and the canopy top supports bend easily. Assembly was tedious with minimal instructions and it's best to make sure you have everything layed out, counted and verified that it's all there before assembly. After assembly and attaching the canopy, do a final tighten of all bolts and nuts and you'll need an extra 10mm wrench to tighten fully..I had to assemble on the ground and then carry it onto my deck which took 4 people because the frame is not as sturdy as I had hoped it would be. It looks nice and definitely provides the much needed shade for my western exposure deck. I used a spray waterproofing in 2 coats on the canopy and I'm so glad I did! Water beads and runs off well and I love to sit outside while it's raining. I'm on the SE Atlantic coast and it's breezy almost all the time! I'm hoping to get at least 2 seasons of use before needing to replace the fabric. Overall, I really like the looks and the shade and I wish the frame was thicker and more robust. For the price? I'd buy it again!
As other reviewers stated, product came damaged. I had an outdoor party I bought this for, so I assumed I could just get an as-is discount or something since all these frames came damaged. We spent half a day assembling it and honestly, the frame was a little more beat up than expected. We finally get to the final stage and the canopy has a 1 foot rip in it and a ripped corner. I contacted customer service and the ONLY option I was given was a 10% discount or to return it. Well, the canopy alone goes for almost half the price of the entire set on Great Offer Stock, so that was just ridicoulous---the thing was torn up!! So, then the agent said that if I didn't want the discount, the canopy was out of stock, so my only option was to take it down and return it. Ummm...Overstock, I don't have a WHOLE day to put up your products just to take them down because of your poor quality control. I started getting irritated and mircalously in that time a new canopy was found and is to be shipped to me. But, when I asked about the frame parts, I was offered XX whole dollars - now this thing is outside and it's scratched down to the the metal, so that means rust! $XX won't even cover the spray paint to cover these scratches and forget about the twisted metal on one piece and the dents throughout it. Ugh! I felt like I was given the run-around BIG TIME!! I thought they had "good" customer service, but honestly it was lousy and just to get a damaged piece replaced and $XX back took me one hour. Lesson learned, their quality control isn't great on this product, so be prepared for damage. Make sure you inspect EVERYTHING before putting it together if you want to get what you paid for. This product apparently is sold :"as-is" and it's not perfect!! If they had made it right originally by immediately reshipping the canopy, reimbursing the cost of the canopy, or offered me of a discount for a bent up frame, my review would have been better. Not impressed, so I probably will not be ordering again.
Love this gazebo! It's exactly what I was looking for and great color. Very sturdy and weather resisted too. I'll be purchasing another color also.
Looks great, went up easy, wonderful for shade. However, I bought it because I wanted to be able to sit under it when it's raining. Unfortunately, it's not waterproof. I even tried waterproofing it but the material isn't suited for it. The description says it's "weather-resistant for summertime resilience" and "ll-weather and water resistant protective outdoor fabric." Not so. The water seeps through like a fine mist.
Bought this to match our big patio gazebos..and create a BBQ cook station!!! We love!!! Definitely recommend!! UPDATE 2/3/2022 Canopy is holding strong and in perfect condition. I wish it did not fade as bad as it did. Originally it was jet black, and now it is a light Gray. But no tearing or holes 2 years later. One complaint, and buyer beware!!!! Replacement canopies are not available. Different from other companies, if there is tearing or holes after long periods, You can replace The material. With this company it is not the case. You must repurchase an entire canopy and frame.. Mine is in perfect condition and anchored to the concrete . My hopes Were 2 purchase a new canopy...material only, anticipating summertime.
You protect me from sun shines Thank you!
This gazebo provides a good shade and it looks very nice. However, it's not waterproof, so don't expect it to be a good protection from the rain. If the rain is light, it's fine, but if it's pouring, then better go inside. It also collects some water after it's been raining for some time. One more concern with this gazebo is the wind. It doesn't weigh much, so strong wind would easily move it, unless you figure out a way to secure it to the ground. Despite all that, I'm pretty happy with this gazebo, I think it deserves solid 4 stars.
This Gazebo is a light weather kind of fabric covering, but it's perfect for Southern California where we live. A heavier fabric would make a deeper cooler shade but just having this gazebo cools things enough to be able to work the pile of stuff I took out of my shed to sort thru whereas before it was just too hot in the direct sunlight! I'll worry about that when this canopy wears out. For the price, it's a great deal. The legs are sturdy and all the metal has a very consistent powder coat finish. The shade is adequate for our as often as we're under it. We liked it well enough to buy another in July 2022 and are thinking about buying another for the back patio. Once I go thru and clear that pile of stuff under this purchase, I'll put up the 2nd one and park two of our cars under them. For perspective, the van in the photo is a2 2020 Honda Odyssey.
Was pleased at the quality of the materials and relative ease of assembly (put together by myself). Only reason I didn't give a five star is that construction includes "u" shaped bolts that can get stuck in the leg with no way of getting out. Concerned about ability to get replacement canopies as the weather in South Florida can rough on canvas. All around a good buy.
We have had a month of storms this summer and my canopy is holding up great! The only problem is that the rain does not go through the canopy which causes it to hold water and sag at the ends on all 4 sides; the structure is strong enough to hold the water weight so it really isn't a problem. It is big enough to shade our 6-8 person outdoor table & chairs. I have also used the side rails to hang an additional curtain to shade us in the late evening when the west sun is low and intense! Assembly took about an hour with 1 person and only required 2 people for about 10 minutes to get all 4 legs connected and standing! We bolted each leg to our deck (which may be part of the reason it is doing so well in the storms). Due to the 2 tier design, the canopy has not "taken flight" during gusts of winds, which is what damaged our last umbrella. This canopy makes our deck look like a nice oasis and we spend a lot more time outside now! I bought orange which is very pretty and bright. There was a dent in one of the legs from shipping, but it has not caused any problems with the integrity of our canopy.
This Vented Caravan Gazebo was easy to assemble. The color looks natural part of the backyard setting. Ventilation is wonderful for the hot days. Yes, this I recommend with the needed attachments. It's a good value.
We bought this gazebo to use as a replacement for our current 10 x 10 Madaga Gazebo purchased from ****** a few years ago. The gazebo is very nice and sturdy, however I miscalculated the measurements. The St Kitts gazebo isn't a true 10 x 10 from leg to leg, so it didn't work for our deck. We are keeping it and will find a use for it at some point in the yard! We purchased the red color and it's absolutely gorgeous.
