The first time my umbrella fell over last summer, the stand chipped. No big deal. The second time it fell over, a third of the stand broke off. The other stand is holding up fine. I don't think I'll be ordering a third.

Solid, sturdy, easy to crank and looks beautiful on my patio. Should hold up from the beating from Florida sun.

This didn't last long for me because it rusted at the base. I do live in a salty environment, the Florida keys. That might have helped accelerate the rust, but it wasn't a good product for me.

Have ordered a few of these, . They are very heavy and now the screw on the bottom loosened and the base cracked. Surprise! Hope the others do not go the same way!

Wasn't sure how heavy this would be. Living in Palm Springs the winds can become very strong. This base does it's job nicely!

I could hardly wait for this item to arrive; however, it weighs at list 75 pounds; therefore, I will not be able to use it on my deck. I can't even lift it up. It is indeed a waste of my money.

After a long time searching for an umbrella stand that would work with my bistro table, I was delighted to find this one which was described as approx 12 inches high. The stand I need must be no more than 12 3/4 inches high. The stand was advertised as having a height approx 12 inches. In reality, it is actually 14 inches high! The thing is too heavy to mail back so I'm stuck. Bummer!

Don't buy it, it disintegrates, leaves stains on the deck from rusting, not even attractive. Run, don't walk, away......

Great stand, love the sundial.

This is a solid base that is weighty and doesn't move easily. It's held our umbrella nicely in place during several windstorms (with the umbrella down of course). I've also gotten complements on the Roman numeral design.
