I bought this after the holiday to replace my incandescent pre-lit artificial tree of 8 years where a few strings of light went out this year. I have a tight space so the options are limited for narrow trees. After searching though the main hardware stores for big after holiday sales, and failing, I came across this one and decided to give it a go with the existing positive feedback, LED, dual color, power connect, & convenient diameter for my tight space features.
After only setting it up to test functionality and basic set-up before storage for next year... Out of the box I noticed 1 thing right away... it looked very thin on the branches and I was immediately concerned. Only the outer 1/3 of each branch has the foliage, and the center pole is wrapped as the only inner coverage. However, after more analysis, I'm confident that there is enough at the end to fill out the tree with much more extensive "filling/fluffing" out of the branches than I would've with my last tree. So maybe a little more time consuming next year out of the box. Fully decorated trees can hide bare spots with ornaments and what not, but I prefer not to have to do it that way, and hopefully it fills out the way I believe it will after initial assessment.
The next thing are the lights. The wiring isn't as tightly would around the branches as I'd like and how other pre-lit trees that I've owned were... but this is likely due to the fact that there is only the outer 1/3 of the branch to light and it isn't wired back near the center pole from each branch. This isn't a big issue, as when put together as a whole, it's not glaring or overly noticeable.
Also with the lights, you can also notice that the light count isn't that great, but don't be fooled here. LEDs are awesome. No need to have those 1000 count lighted trees anymore to have a decently lit tree. These LEDs shine bright and fill out the tree very nicely. The different light settings are a very nice feature. (solid white, solid multi, white fade in and out, multi fade in and out, white fade in and out to multi, white blink into multi slow & white blink into multi fast...) I'm not a fan of white lights on a tree, but my favorite on initial impression is the white fade to mulit and back cycling. The power connect is a great feature also, not having to snake multiple plugs around and through the length of the tree will be nice next year.
So I had things to nitpick about, but overall, given the features and look, I'd recommend this tree. I "only" got it for *** after the holiday, but it's at a good price point anyway compared to what I've seen out there in person. You get what you pay for, and if you pick up one of those *** pre-lit trees, you'll likely be disappointed. So spend the little extra for a tree that should last at least 10 years with proper care and storage.
