Those are all words I would use to describe this rug. I've never been one to go spending frivolously, but I am glad I bought this rug- I can see now it was a great investment. The fibers are thin, long, and silky. There are plenty of them, however, which makes it feel soft and plush. *Nearly* as soft as those faux fur baby blankets. Just shy of that. It looks stylish, almost like fur, but with a shine you won't ever get out of a wool sheepskin (which is what it's contender was when I was considering what to buy.) The ivory brightened up my small living room, which has a chocolate brown wood floor. It feels bigger in here! I rearranged my furniture over it, and it pulls all of my pieces together expertly, and adds an elegance my home was greatly lacking. The rug, to me, feels and looks expensive. My only concern is keeping an ivory rug clean. Upon unrolling the rug, I did notice an odor- this odor reminds me very much of the carpet and rug section of any Lowes or Home Depot, and I assume it is fairly normal and will dissipate with time. I am 200% satisfied with my purchase, and my only dissatisfaction is that I can't afford a second for my room- which is my own problem, not theirs, because its current sale price is a steal.
