Unique Lamp Our family room is where we spend most of our evenings watching TV and reading. Yes it is better next to and not behind a chair. The light is very glaring since it is an open and clear bulb design. I am using it for reading. I changed the bulb from clear to frosted. It doesn't look as good but it is less glaring.
