Pretty but top heavy.. May be a hazard? These chairs LOOK great. They even feel better than I expected. My two complaints are #1- there is a large zipper on the back. It's not that big of a deal, but I noticed right away and the back of the chairs can be seen from our dining space. Kind of a bummer but I liked the chairs too much to go through the hassle of returning over this. #2- they are very top heavy and the way the legs are designed (the back are shorter than the front) in addition to this make them prone to tipping backward. I think this would be a huge safety hazard for children that unknowingly plop into it with some force. We double checked that the legs are on properly and tight, and they are.

Looks great, but you can't sit without tipping it I love the look of this chair, but I wonder if it went into production without a prototype ever being made... Seriously, I am a small woman, and I'm not like jumping into the chair or anything, but every time I sit in it, it tips backwards. I alternate between finding it comical and being embarrassed when other people sit in it. It's obvious why if you look at it from the side - the little legs are directly under the base, and the (fairly tall) back juts out way back, much further than the feet reach. I have it propped up against the wall in the corner. Would return it but I got it with a flash deal price, would spend almost that much on shipping.

Poor quality zippers I purchased this item, and when putting it together, I noticed two of the zippers were not fully zipped. When trying to zip them, they both completely broke. The zippers on this thing are the lowest quality, cheapest zippers I've ever seen. I don't think i'll return it due to the hassle of such a large package, but i'll have to figure out a way to get new zipper pulls on it.

beautiful mid-century chair just what I wanted. Read reviews and hesitated but found some of the reviews were not as I expected. Although I did have a little trouble getting the legs on, I finally fit them all on perfectly. When I sat in it I did not feel as though I was going to go over backwards as others said. Maybe I sit in a chair differently. Others have tested the chair also and did not feel as though they would go over backwards either. Now I am looking for a love seat to go in the room so I will have a more complete design for my '50's built home. Love it.
