I had a flokati shag for years, and it is like a child's ball of yarn next to this rug. I was so pleased to receive it--it is heavy-weight, the fibers are silky soft and almost shiny, and you never see the weaving underneath the pile like some less dense shags. I especially like the clean cut endings to each fiber so it's a nice blend between long and groovy and sophisticated grooming. The shedding lasted for a while but has faded after the first few months--nothing big and probably more cat-claw related than anything. The smell is that of fresh wool and dissipates quickly. Fun to play on!

How can one get a rug to stop shedding? We keep tape rollers in the room because after multiple vacuums, it keeps shedding like mad. The color and appearance are lovely -- but I question quality for the price. The viscose thread is barely woven in and easy to pull out -- in fact, often there are loose threads that pull out or are too long (weaving not consistent throughout) -- so again, the quality is suspect for the price. I haven't had luck with finding the right rug online, its not easy...and not sure what to do with this one, the size and color are what i need, but the shedding gets on everything.....overall, i do like Great Offer Stock - often items and service are superb.

Since I have seen huge variations in quality of shag rugs, I was a little weary about ordering this one. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this rug. The weave is consistent throughout, the two materials are interwoven regularly, and the wool (ivory colored) and viscose (almost white in color and shiny) are incredibly soft. The rug arrived within 4 days and was tightly rolled, which had compressed all the shag; once unpacked, it fluffed up within a few days. It looks very nice, is amazingly soft to walk (and lay) on and the shedding has been minimal. NOTE: I ordered the 8'x10' – the rug we received is only 7'x 9', but it's still big enough. Overall we are quite pleased with our purchase.

although the rug is attractive, i wouldn't describe it as being plush, in fact some areas in the rug are sparser than other areas. as far as color, i would describe it as a pale champagne with nice dimension due to the viscose. although, i was disappointed when it first arrived, i've come to the decision that it works with what i'm trying to achieve with my decor and it is okay. i guess the bottom line is that i would have had to spend quite a bit more money for the "thrill" i was looking for.

Lovely wool/silk blend. Looks very expensive. Made my living room furniture pop. Like it better than the MGBW powershag rug I was considering -- and this rug is only a fraction of the price. Great buy. Very satisfied.
