I rely on reviews (especially for rugs) for my online purchases and previous reviews were helpful. This rug is a modern take on the old fashioned braided rugs. It is fairly thick (Like a braided rug with lots of different shades of dark & light blue/gray/white/ in rows I think the leather is the string used to connect the rows of denim. It is soft under the feet and I think will last many years the way it is made (just like the braided rugs). I was looking for a lighter blue with variation (so it won't show every spec of dirt/crumb in between cleaning) for our sun porch with white wicker furniture--this rug is PERFECT for that! The only downside--which another review had mentioned--was that it has a slight leather smell. I figure that will eventually dissipate and it's not totally unpleasant for me. I loved that it recycled jeans into something useful and attractive. GREAT DEAL--especially compared with similar braided rugs..
This rug seems to be very durable and, unlike some rugs, has no foul odor. I'm giving it an average rating because the online photo shows a more consistent color scheme than what it looks like in person. The combination of several colors (both denim and leather) makes the pattern a little busier than what I expected and in a small room it draws your eyes directly to the floor. Also, because it is handwoven with heavy materials, there are some knots throughout the rug that are quite large making it uncomfortable to walk on if you are in stocking feet or bare feet.
It is in our living room. For years I said I needed a denim rug/ furniture piece- this is it. Cannot shampoo it but can spot clean with soap and water. We have 2 dogs who prefer the rug to the furniture ! I love the color. The colors vary, which the description stated - but so does DENIM.
We purchased for my sons room. It is really beautiful and looks great with his pottery barn madras bedding. It's very boyish looking with the Jean material. There are a few pieces of white leather that are not soft but it's ok. The rug had a terrible leather smell when it first arrived. It's getting better.
Arrived within a week of ordering. Easy to unpackage and lay flat. Slight scent, dissipating with time. It is beautiful in my living room which is blue and white, cottage/ beachy style. Not soft to walk on. However, it's weird to look at it closely and see denim that you know someone wore before. Guess it's good for the environment that it's recycled.
Was a little nervous ordering a rug online as colors vary based on your computer etc. This is beautiful and is really well made. So happy we ordered it.
This a nice quality rug, at a great price! It definitely fits in nicely with my country/cottage décor.
This rug is a wonderful addition to my house. It is very stylish and a great blend of blue colors. The denim, cotton and leather strips create a unique patter that is appealing. I would recommend a rug pad as the rug isn't too thick. I haven't had it more than a couple weeks so I can't comment on the durability but it seems well made.
I liked the rug. It is nice and big, just as it looks on the computer screen. Good price and cozy in my home. It was worth the money
