I was hesitant to buy this chair since there weren't any reviews at the time, but the price was so much better than anything else with a similar look, I gave it a shot. I really wanted a glider that would look like a regular piece of furniture (not a rocker look) as this is in my living room. I bought the Mocha w/ white trim and the color is really nice and true to the image.
It arrived in just a few days, and my husband was able to put it together. He was challenged getting it to look symmetrical. The left side has a much bigger gap between the side panel and the back then the right side has. We couldn't ever sort that out. But, It hasn't affected us in any way, and no one else would ever notice unless they were deliberately inspecting it.
I bought this when I was VERY pregnant, and since the baby was born 4 months ago, we have already gotten more than our money's worth out of this chair. I sit in it to nurse my daughter at least 7x a day. I use a basic 'non gliding' foot stool, to prop my feet up, and still be able to glide and swivel. I'm 5'4" and the arm rests are the perfect height for my elbows or for the boppy to rest on one side while nursing. And the back is high enough to rest my head back. The seat is plenty wide, for me the perfect size, as Im still carrying some baby weight , and yet it has at least 3 inches on each side between my hips and the arms.
The only things I'm not happy with are:
1. the recliner's foot stool is VERY difficult to close. after labor, I couldn't do it at all, and my husband would have to come over and do it for me to be able to get up. Now I can do it, but have to really really do it hard with a lot of effort and sometimes that wakes my baby. not cool when that happens. So i rarely use it and prefer my foot stool when with the baby. BUT, I have enjoyed it by myself at night watching a movie and the actual reclined position is quite comfortable.. if only it was easier to get out of
2. One of the buttons, on the back rest has already fallen off. I found it and will try to stick it back on, but its kind of annoying that in only 6 months its already falling apart. But as I said, it is getting TONS of use.
Over all I'm super happy with this chair. I cant imagine my life without it, and feel the price was great compared to everything else out there.
And, It's always hysterical when I have to kick my husband out of 'the milking chair" so I can nurse.
