The 3 boxes containing 2 chairs each arrived in good time. They are great, a little hard when first sitting on them, but the angle of the back, makes it comfortable. In fact more comfortable than the ladder backed chairs we had!
Unfortunately one of the boxes that was shipped, was damaged, making one chair back unusable. I immediately emailed Overstocked.com, and conversed back and forth with customer service. It was obvious the writer of the emails was not native born American, and English was NOT that person's first language. A lot of misunderstanding went back and forth. Because the warehouse did not have any extra parts, they had to send us a whole new shipment of chairs. How Overstocked.com makes any money, is beyond me, with the shipping costs the way they are.
When it came time to send the three boxes back, one box was labeled with the defective back in it, UPS would only take ONE box, as they received ONE tag for the boxes. Back to the emails to try and clear it up. The next day UPS came back and again had only one tag. They needed to have 3 tags for 3 boxes. Knowing UPS would cancel the pick up after 3 tries (I wouldn't let UPS take one box, because that is an incomplete order) I finally called customer service. I wish I called customer service from the start. I got an American, who knew how to help, and did! The following day UPS had 3 tags, for 3 boxes. The driver for UPS said they have this problem all the time with this company.
The three boxes are out and back to the warehouse, and we are enjoying the new chairs, for a GREAT PRICE. To bad we had this horrible experience.
