After a few trips to some un-named local mattress stores, and them try to convince me that we needed to spend at least $2000 on a mattress for each of my teenage boys, I refused and started to look at other options on the internet, which led me to Great Offer Stock. These are Serta mattresses, but the tag says exclusively made for Great Offer Stock. I bet the same mattress is branded differently in the retail stores. For the price, it's perfect. Pillow top, comfortable (pretty soft, so if you want firm, this is not for you). The actual mattresses were delivered by a local company. This is where I have some issue. When I purchased, it said "white glove, free mattress removal". Well, they did deliver as scheduled (took about 2 weeks), they were courteous, and did unwrap and bring the mattresses upstairs and place them in the rooms. They did not, however, remove the old mattresses "because they were not in good condition". They told me if the old mattresses were torn or had stains, they could not take them. Why?? Are they planning to re-sell them? Ick! So we had to rent a truck and take them to the dump ourselves. That annoyed me. But that may have been the local company and not an Great Offer Stock deal. Not sure.
We've had them for a week now and all seems fine. Time will tell.
