The color, price point and design of this bed are exactly what I was looking for. It wasn't difficult to put together and I was able to do it in one evening with one other person. The frame was shipped as four separate pieces, with the headboard being the largest package. However, the materials were scratched when they arrived, which, given the amount of packing material surrounding the parts, indicates to me that they were damaged when they went in the box. That said, it's not a huge deal for me, particularly given that wood will typically become dented or scratched over time anyway. If you're very particular about your furniture's appearance, buyer beware. Color-wise, the piece is more brown than it appears in the picture, which works really well for me. Another reviewer made the comment that it's a charcoal-silver-brown and I agree with that sentiment. In my mind, it fits well with the "driftwood" color palette, though the design doesn't necessarily fit with a rustic theme. Altogether, this is a sturdy bed that was easy enough to put together, with a color and design that fits with my home, and at a price I could afford.
