3 large boxes arrived on double wide wood pallet; all with some shipping box tear damage but only one caused very minor indentation to melamine finish that was fortunately on inside low frame that is out of sight; takes two to assemble using less that ideal instructions, remain calm to envision your next step; must buy separate large hex head screws to anchor frame to wall studs (need drill to pre-drill holes and hex head driver); white melamine frame looks decent, however, the pull down metal frame, levers and wood slat frame are very study to minimize squeaking; used 10" visco-elastic foam mattress (ideal width to work with folding bottom frame); major decision is cut back side of frame to avoid cutting wood wall baseboard (I did this with skill saw and jig saw. I did cut the smaller easy to replace quarter round trim.) Overall, once you install a Murphy Bed you are not likely going to move it even if you sell your house. I chose white melamine over faux wood pattern since the big box store sell specific paint to match white melamine for future restoration. Good luck!
