True to picture and overall nice piece I fell in love with the look of this piece and the dimensions fit the space I have perfectly, so I decided to purchase even though it was a little bit steep in price. The box arrived and keep in mind, it's over 70lbs so it's best to have two people bring it into the house (but I managed to do it myself)! My husband was a trooper and put this together for me. It literally comes with over a hundred screws and pieces, so plan to spend a few hours assembling this. It took him about 3hrs roughly. Now, the quality is similar to something you would find in IKEA, it's a softer type of wood so there's a good chance you will knick and scuff this at some point, and the backing is thin plywood in the same shade. But overall, I like it and it's functional with the amount of space and drawer space it has. The vintage Walnut color is what I purchased and it's a deep dark rich brown. It's formal enough for your dining room but can also be put in the kitchen, which is where we have it. I think in hindsight, I would have gone for the lighter color to fit in more with the farmhouse look, but I'm still happy with my purchase. It definitely looks true to the picture and for those curious about the dimensions, the top portion is about 12.75" deep. Enough to fit my Keurig, pod holder and cake stand on top!

no it is not solid wood...solid wood would never be available at this price, I just received this buffet it is true to picture and looks good. I work at a high end furniture store and bars that sell for 1,600 and up are not solid wood.
