Read MoreI bought this air conditioner to replace a 20 year old 15,000 btu unit that had stopped working. This a/c seems to draw fewer amps at start up. My old unit would always dim the lights when it kicked on. With this one we don't see any draw. It is a little bit louder than I hoped for, but nothing to distracting. Good unit would recommend.
