The FLEXAPEDIC by Sleep Philosophy gel memory foam mattress will keep your body cool and comfortable all year round. This mattress gives you a perfectly balanced sleep environment—the right temperature, comfort and support. The 12 inch gel memory foam mattress has three different layers specially designed to give you the ultimate sleep experience. The mattress starts with a top layer of 2 inches of gel infused memory foam for comfort, support, pressure relief and improved airflow. To create gel memory foam, gel beads are infused into traditional memory foam. These gel beads add a layer of support within the foam, gathering together at pressure points to deliver the maximum support you’ll need, exactly where you need it. The middle layer is 2 inches of slightly lighter memory foam that helps to alleviate pressure points and acts a little like shock absorbers between you and the 8 inches high density base. You’ll find that you’re tossing and turning less and sleeping longer without disruption. The base is specially designed to prevent motion transfer, allowing you to move without disturbing your bed mate. The mattress has a specially designed knitted fabric top that’s cool to the touch. It also has a non-skid backing to ensure that your mattress stays put on a box spring or platform. Memory foam is naturally antimicrobial and resistant to allergens, mold, bacteria, and dust mites. TIP: Remove mattress from packaging as soon as possible (ideally within 72 hours of receipt) to maximize memory foam expansion. The mattress arrives tightly packed. Unwrap and allow up to 48 hours for this mattress to return to its original shape. Mattress is sealed in plastic packaging which sometimes traps odors.
