lightweight, cleans soooo well easy to carry, easy to use, to empty, to store best ever
Read MoreI have heard a lot about this vacuum over the years. I needed a new one so I thought I would give this one a try. I can't believed how this machine cleans. The suction is wonderful. It takes me no time at all to vacuum; no longer need to go over the same spot several times (I have a cat) he sheds no problem getting what he has left behind. I would give the packing a ten as it arrived with the box intact and the machine packed well. I am 73 and not very blessed with mechanical techniques, however the pictures are very clear as how to assemble the vacuum. A true pleasure to use.
Read MorePowerful, light, easy to maneuver.
Read MoreThis vacuum is counter intuitive to put together and use. It is not good on hard wood floors. It's very heavy and hard to maneuver. For the brand name and price, I expected a lot more. The hose and attachments do not reach far. Very disappointing. Additionally, it's hard to ship back because it's an odd shape, and finding a box for shipping was annoying!
Read MoreVery pleased with this purchase for this vacuum. It really leaves other vacuums in the dust! :)
Read MoreI bought this vacuum about 7months ago. It's warrantee from dyson is only for 6 months because it's refurbished, and now the vacuum doesn't work. It was a waste of money, do not even bother to get it. First of all the canister is so small and you have to change it more than once while you are using it to clean. The engine over heats and you have to leave it for a few hours before you can use it again. The two filters have to be washed often and then you have to wait 2 days for them to dry properly. I have a large dog and 3 boys so I have to vacuum more than once a week. The only good thing about it is that it's not heavy. I would not purchase a refurbished vacuum cleaner ever again. This was the biggest waste of my money and time.
Read MoreIt's gross how much dirt nastiness and dog hair (oh my God the dog hair!!!) that this beast picks up. You think that carpet is clean then you run this bad boy over it and holy sh*t! As I said this thing is a beast and picks up everything! The amount of dog hair it has removed from my carpets could make another dog. I would highly recommend
Read MoreWorks better than expected. Pulls up all the dog hair.
Read MoreThat should be the motto for this vacuum. "Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty!". Lightweight-yes, Compact-yes, Practical-NO. I owned one of the first Dyson models and I LOVED THAT VACUUM!! This one...not so much. The hose with the attachments are awkward to say the least and is much shorter than most hoses on vacuums. The dust cup is WAY too small especially if you have pets. It doesn't have a quarter of the suction that their original models have. It gets clogged extremely easy and then the suction is lost. So you have to remove the dust cup, disconnect the outer plastic casing of the dust cup and pull out all of the debris that has been collected. The power cord is very, very short!!! Don't plan on going very far with it. It also does NOT like to lock in the stand up position. Dyson has disappointed me with this product.
Read MoreI honestly see no downside to this vacuum. The shipping was fast, it works on all surfaces in my home, and it is quieter than any vacuum I've had before. I have a Maine Coon mix cat, and she sheds like crazy; the pet tool attachment is great for sucking up all her furballs!
Read MoreDoes what it says, compacts well is nice and light. Could have a longer extendable hose and understand what people say about its standup locking issues, but this hasn't been a problem for me. Refurbished worked just as well as new. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
Read MoreIt is not a matter of the refurbished quality, the unit just doesn't perform as expected from Dyson ads. There are too many gagetry things to put up with and the filter changing is awkward . . . it does suck up pretty well, just not that easy to use other than straight forward vacumning
Read MoreItem received is much smaller than what is pictured. Suction is not as powerful as expected. Limited usage.
Read MoreNo as strong as they Saids
Read MoreGreat suction as most Dyson vacuums are. I have a small apartment so the small canister works for me, especially with my long haired cat. (But it's true, I did have to empty the canister 3 times whiles vacuuming for the first time... Probably cause of all the cat hair!)
Read MoreI bought my first Dyson CD50 from the Dyson site. It's great. This refurbished one did not work - no suction. Returned.
Read MoreVery compact, still powerful unit. Cleans significantly better than our old Panasonic. On the negative side, it feels too fragile, I'm afraid of braking it every time I'm de-attaching the bin. Also you need to manually reel up the cords, but it's understood for this form factor and size.
Read MoreThe Dyson DC50 is surprisingly light, but super powerful. This is my first Dyson (I have owned *** and ***) and I instantly fell in love with it. It moves very smoothly and can get into tighter areas. As mentioned, suction is strong, but I only had this Vacuum for a month. We'll see how maintains its suction strength as time goes by. Very happy with my purchase!
Read MoreNot great, but it will do. The canister looked like it was scrubbed hard and the bottom doesn't stayed closed when removed and I sent the first one back so just buy new.
Read MoreNot having many carpets in our house we decided to purchase this compact Vacuum. It didn't disappoint us. It picks up better than our 15 year old Dyson before it was broken.
