    Verified Purchase

Easy to install, breaks down to "easy to store" size and vented underneath for latex/foam mattresses. This foundation can handle a person of size quite easily. Now if only I can figure out how to make the mattress easily storable......

    Verified Purchase

I bought this several years ago and I still have no regrets. I was so skeptical to buy it, I just needed an inexpensive frame for my first college apartment but it seemed ugly and just unwelcoming for a bedroom- easy fix with a bed skirt. I used the bottom for storage to put extra boxes and bulkier items and even my suitcase! It is SO easy to assemble & it contracts that it barely takes up any space. Another great thing, it is extremely light-weight. It's very sturdy too. I ended up getting a different bed a few years later and use one of the sides (fits a twin size mattress) as a daybed with a cushion in my current set-up and it's great! Definitely recommend it!!

  • Great Bed if you don't have to move it
    Verified Purchase

I bought this bed for my son's first apartment. It is great - is lightweight, easy to put together, has good room underneath, and works well with his 8" memory foam mattress. But - DO NOT move it once it is in place.. The legs collapse - the middle and end legs fold down in one direction and the legs on the other end collapse in the other direction.

  • Not Good!
    Verified Purchase

I purchased this in a queen size for my 128lb son. He has been sleeping on it since 11/30. I just received a smaller version of it today and when I went to move his bed, I discovered that the entire frame on one side is all bent. The mattress on top of it is now sagging where the frame bent and now I have to buy a whole new complete bed and frame set. This frame absolutely cannot be used without a foundation . Do not think it can be used as a platform bed! Not durable or for long - term use! Maybe good enough for an occasional overnight guest only. An adult of less than 130 lbs should have been able to sleep on this in the way it was advertised without the frame bending the way it did!

  • Legs don't stay upright.
    Verified Purchase

As basic as they come, which wouldn't bother me if it hadn't have broken within 2 months of using it. The legs in the middle, where the platform hinges, do not stay upright. The plastic piece where the platform rests on the legs is tiny and flimsy, and split on both sides after a month or two. This means that if I move the bed at all (i.e. for cleaning, changing sheets, sex), the middle legs start to fold up and the bed goes down with it. Sometimes it just starts to sink under the weight of two adults without moving at all. I have to take the mattress off the bed and fix it by hand once every two weeks at least - it's pretty difficult to do this in my small bedroom with a heavy mattress.

  • Easy frame to use
    Verified Purchase

I bought this frame to keep my memory foam mattress off the floor. It does the job, so I'm pretty happy with it. I like that it is easy to take a part and store if necessary. What I am slightly annoyed with, is that there's no guard for the mattress so it can move if I just push the mattress slightly. It slides from the frame. I can't move the frame and the mattress together! Or, if I'm sitting on the bed with my back against the wall, if I scoot forward with my body, sometimes the mattress slides forward, too. Other than that, this is a good frame for the price or good for someone who moves around a lot.

  • Great Frame At A Great Price
    Verified Purchase

The frame is very sturdy and easy to set up. It does make your bed much higher off the ground than standard frames but I like my bed high so it's better (it's now 29" from the floor). It was easy to put together, just align the screws and that's it, plus the fact that it's portable makes it easy to move from room to room or for an overall move to another location outside of the home. Gives you PLENTY of underbed storage space. Definitely a great bargain!

  • Q:

"What is the wait limit on this frame?"

    • A:

Hello, This frame is very durable and so easy to assemble. The structure is built for keeping the mattress at proper temperatures, during the seasons. A great bang for your buck !!! I give it an easy 5 star rating.

    • A:

I am 6"4 at 250 lbs. A queen size weighs about 110lbs. I do not know the exact weight, however it is steel and very sturdy. I give it an easy 5* rating !!!

    • A:

queen size memory foam mattress weighs 110 plus my 250 with no issues at all.

    • A:

Frame features 10 heavy-duty cross bars with six heavy-duty wire rods and 12 sturdy support legs that snap and lock into place to support up to 3000 lbs. of distributed weight and is strong enough to withstand jumping I copied this from the details below the information up above. Just click on show more.. Hope this helps.

    • A:

The literature states 3000lbs distributed weight. So far there's been approx. 450 - 500lbs on the bed with no incident. Haven't ruff-housed on it, but I bet it will withstand quite a bit. For me it was a great investment.

    • A:

Bought it for a 300lb person..full size mattress.. extremely easy to set up.. just pull out Leah and wit two Wong nut screws put the two bed grams together .. has total of 12 legs for great support

  • Q:

"Is there a way to lock the legs in place? I purchased this frame and the legs fold if you move. "

    • A:

Hi Terri, I bought this for my daughter who lives out of state. She said that she pulls the legs out following the way the bar goes and they automatically lock. Joanmarie

    • A:

I agree they should lock in place when you pill them out.. I have had my for two months and they never fold, and I'm a big girl!

    • A:

We haven't had a problem with that with ours. The legs seemed to be very tight and not lose so that movement would cause to fold. I would return it and have another one sent. Sounds like it may be defected. Hope this helps

  • Q:

"Am thinking about this frame for a king size mattress to be purchased. We have a headboard to attach. Question: Will the legs damage the carpet since there don't appear to be rollers under the legs? Sara"

    • A:

It doesn't "damage" the carpet, but it does put marks on the carpet. You can purchase the felt coasters to put beneath the legs. I used this in a guest room and with a full size bed. The underbed drawers are nice too!

    • A:

Sara no but you can by the round cups they use . if you have to move you will need to lift front to back .

    • A:

No, they won't damage the carpet. One of the easiest and best purchases I have made.

  • Q:

"This won't cut my memory foam mattress if I put it directly on top without a box spring, right? Should I put anything under the memory foam mattress?"

    • A:

I don't know about a memory foam, but I have a regular mattress without a boxspring and have had no problems

    • A:

I got a memory foam mattress without a box spring and it seems to be fine. Just put the bed skirt and it will be ok.

    • A:

Not at all! We have 4 of these, all with memory foam mattress. No problems. Extremely sturdy. No noise. Great storage underneath..

    • A:

I didn't have any problems with sharp edges or other things that may damege a memory foam mattress. Mine has been on about a week. So far so good!

    • A:

Just get it, it will work just fine with any mattres. Legs are build fine. Ä°t will not damage your carpet at all.. if you get the bed bracets,, it will be so easy and fast to get it attached to any headboard.

    • A:

It is built for a memory foam mattress to keep the proper breathing for the seasons. You can buy a bed skirt to give it a better look. You do not need a box spring. It is a great bang for your buck !!! I give it an easy 5 * rating !!!

  • Q:

"I just purchased a 14 inch bed skirt to put over the frame. Will this fit over it or will it be too big or short? I purchased the Fresh Ideas 14-inch Drop Poplin Bedskirt."

    • A:

I haven't used a bed skirt for this frame, however, I did utilize a full size bedspread which came down to 3 inches off the floor on each side. I purchased one of the 10 inch mattresses to place on top without a box spring. So my best guess would be that your bed skirt would fit this frame.

    • A:

I think a 14" will be perfect. I have a 16" (from before this frame) that I use and it puddles. It kinds of depends on the type. If it's just the skirt part it might be tough to keep it on. Mine has a white bed sized part with a skirt attached. It works well except for being too long :-)

    • A:

frame measures at 14 inches from the floor so it may drag on floor

  • Q:

"I like my bed to be high off the floor. Is it okay if I use a box spring with this bed frame?"

    • A:

Yes you can use a box spring with this.

    • A:

The steel frame is strong enough to support a box spring foundation and a top mattress as well. It could be quite high...depending on the thickness of your top mattress.

    • A:

Yes, you can use it with or without a box spring. I have used it both ways. It really is what ever your preference is.

  • Q:

"Will this work with a memory foam mattress? I just purchased one but it did not mention the corresponding frame. Thanks"

    • A:

Ana- You could make it work, if you make a slight modification. I don't have a memory foam mattress, but I am guessing the bottom side is soft like the top. The "cables" that make up the mattress surface are not going to be smooth like the top of a box spring. The foam could be damaged by the cables cutting into it. You may want to put a thin "hardboard" (1/3" pressed particle board)under the mattress. I have a frame like this that I fold up and use camping; I use hardboard under a memory foam mattress topper (the topper is my camping mattress), and I sleep great.

    • A:

Yes. I have a memory foam mattress (priage from overstock) and it works just fine. Have had it for a few months now. No modification or box spring necessary. I love it.
