Overall I'm pretty happy with this piece and I think it's a decent value for the price. The drawer fronts and the top and sides of the frame are made of solid wood and are very nicely finished. This is what makes the piece successful. The only disappointment is that drawers themselves are made of a rather light-weight manufactured wood (MDF) that isn't quite as high quality as I would have liked. If you're not careful you can strip the screw holes in the MDF panels while installing the hardware—the material really isn't very robust. That said, the design is fairly good and I don't expect any issues with regular use.
As for assembly, plan on 3-4 hours (depending on how much experience you have building furniture and whether you have access to a power screwdriver). While slightly time-consuming, I didn't find the build unpleasant (though having a power screwdriver probably made it a lot less exhausting!). Any flat-packed dresser of this size will take a similar amount of time and effort.
