When you touch the base the light goes on. It has three levels! Dim, brighter and brighter. It was easy to put together. Even came with the bulb. It looks great in my bedroom. I am thrilled with this purchase!

The small and simply stated lamp works well in the reading area of our mid-century coastal bedroom. Deducting 1 star only because there were minor blemishes on the glass shade.

Very nice lamp. Unfortunately first one delivered was damaged. Almost 4 weeks later I am still trying to return it. I have requested a return label through the REAL MAIL (twice) and still have not received. I do not have a printer!!
