I ordered this set on January 30th, and it was delivered on February 17th. That was the fault of the freight company. I've never ordered anything "freight" delivery, and it was really annoying. But for $2.95, how could that be a huge deal? It's a minor inconvenience, but not the worst thing in the world. When it did arrive, the hardware was missing, a chair pad was ripped, and there was a flaw in the finish of the table top. I used the chat feature to contact overstock's customer service. Five minutes later, replacement parts were on the way and credits were issued. So that's no problem, once again, a minor inconvenience.
Now, about the quality....The main use for this dining set is for a young, childless couple in their first home. It is not fit for Martha Stewart, and if you live your life like a savage or have children, it is a waste of money. It's really pretty, simple to assemble and I like it a lot. But I tend to enjoy simple, modern furniture. It says it's made of oak, but I cannot be 100% certain that it is solid wood. The visible parts are, so it looks good.
If you are frequently unhappy with online purchases, skip this dining set. It looks more expensive than it is, but it IS a $590 dining set.
