My lost weekend assembling the 5-piece Dining Set. First, the set came all in one box weighing Over 100 lbs. Was left in my Condo building vestibule by two big FedEx guys. No way I was to carry it up to my 3rd floor apt, alone. With most people gone for the holidays, I figured the only way I could get the job done soon, was carry one piece at a time. I opened the box in the vestibule and carried each major part up to my apt , one at a time. Time consuming but it saved getting a hernia. Once upstairs, I used the checklist to account for each and every part. Everything was there. No missing parts. Since I have no garage or basement workshop, I assembled everything down on the floor of my Living Room. Now I have a sore back from being down there for hours. Some parts must be glued into place; others hammered into place; most parts are screwed into place with an Allen Wrench. Screwing anything into hard wood using a Allen Wrench is: 1) difficult; 2) painful; 3) slow. My hands aced after screwing in so many pieces. The end result is a nice, small dining set but next time I"ll have one delivered that is fully assembled. No more weekends down on the floor hassling with an Allen Wrench.
